Pregnancy test - help!

I've just done a test, but I threw the box away and I no longer have the instructions. I think it is just a homebrand Sainsburys one. Basically, in the big window there is a strong horizontal line, and a visible - but feint - vertical line.

Is that a positive or negative? I'm not due until Monday, but feel as though I might be pregnant. Second time around, so kind of know the 'feeling'.

Thoughts/advice very welcome!

ooooh!!! Sounds a little hopeful to me )
Both my lovely DDs started life as the teeniest little feint line of hope.
I think you could be quietly hopeful, get in the car and grab another test to put your mind at rest xxxx

Maybe I should wait and do it with morning wee - they say that's better, don't they. Eek. Not trying, but not NOT trying....bit surprised.

Don't know whether to trust it or not...not sure if Sainsburys' own brand would be less reliable than a Clearblue!

Hate waiting - but I might wait until Monday and do another test.

thanks for your post lemontart!

I know! Feels like an eternity!

Keep going back to the test and analysing how feint the line actually is....if it was negative, I wouldn't be able to see a line at all, right??

I don't have another test in the house, and am doing tea/bath and bed for dd from now until 7. Maybe I will get one tomorrow and see if I'm just imagining that little line.

This is the part I hated last time - the 'am I, aren't I' phase. AAARRRGGGHH!

I have butterflies in my tummy after reading isaidno's post.

God, I really could be.

Not sure DH will be quite as excited by the timing, but might be too late now! LOL!

I've used the Sainsbury's test this time round to confirm this pregnancy. It is basically what the clearblue test used to be before they complicated it.

Not meaning to build your hopes up but I got results like yours after testing on a hunch 5 days before my due date. By my due date the result was instant and positive.

If I remember rightly, the test is only 3 or 4 pounds, go and grab another one and retest in the morning. Good luck - I hope you get the result you want

Don't forget to keep us posted!

Will do - would love to be pregnant again, so fingers crossed.

I think they were about £4 for two tests, so might just get another pack tomorrow and put myself out of my misery. Last time round I tested on my due date and got a really strong result, so might try and wait until Monday....although I am rubbish with surprises and being patient etc. so will probably be at Sainsburys waiting for the doors to open in the morning!

Still have butterflies in my tummy.

Thanks for your messages XX

I just tested again now - a clearblue this time - and I got a really strong positive, so it looks like my instincts were right and number two is on its way.

Now I just have to keep everything crossed that all goes well - I hate that first trimester of waiting for the scan and wondering if you've imagined it all, and trying to explain away my 'no' to a lovely chilled g+t or glass of wine.....

Thanks for the messages!

I was going to say take a photo of the test and we will look at it for you but seems you are pg. well done!

jamtartleah - I thought you couldn't get false positives? How can a test pick up a hormone that isn't there? I hope you are soon pregnant.
