Hi
Does anyone know what the next step is after Clomid,I have been on 100mg for 4 cycles and its not working, well it did once but it was a CP, I was told by the fertility unit this morning that 100mg is the highest license dose, so it will have to be agreed by the consultant for me to take 150mg for one cycle as a last chance, the next step after that maybe injections!!!! Anyone else have any experience or go

Hi Little Miss Daisy.

I am currently on month 4 of Clomid, with only two more months to go. My consultant has put me up for intra-uterine-insemination after this, where basically you peg it to the hospital when you ovulate, and your partner gives some sperm, which is 'washed' to ensure quality, and then inserted directly into your womb, in the hope that the swimmers will have an easier job of locating the egg.

If that doesn't work then I think we'll move on to IVF. It is probably dependent on the cause of your fertility, if that is known.

I do hope that you succeed, as it seemes we are at exactly the same stage!

I am only on my first Clomid month, but I know that if it doesn't work after 6 months, for us that is the end of the road. Next step was proper fertility treatment and intervention - which, as we do already have a child would mea a lot of money, not to mention the stress.
