Does anyone know when you are supposed to ov with Clomid? I took it 5 years ago when TTC my son and looking at my diary from then I had AF 5 Oct so took Clomid 6-10 Oct but I did a test on 1 Dec (I was having 70+ day cycles!) and it was -ve and when I tested again on 29 Dec it was +ve and then a scan in Feb showed I was nearly 15 weeks. My due date was 1 Aug so when did I conceive?

Its just that I am TTC again and thinking about what will happen when I see the endo and he puts me on Metformin again (I have PCOS) and I was wondering if the Clomid I had in Oct that year had any bearing on me getting pg? Does Clomid make you ov at a certain time? I was having reflexology at the same time and wonder if this and Met was what helped me get pg? So confused as I can't remember small details but my diary is very accurate and I remember the -ve test on 1 Dec then the +ve on 29 Dec clearly!

that would have made your conception date around the first or second week of November, so I guess you would have ovulated about a month after taking the clomid. Seems like a long time - I thought you were supposed to ov about a week after taking it!

that's worked out on your due date, by the way. THe -ve pg test must have come when you were about 3-4 weeks pg, which is round about the time you'd begin to expect a +ve, so you may have only missed knowing earlier by a couple of days!

Thanks KC. That's what I had worked out but wasn't sure if I was doing it properly! I didn't test again all of December as assumed it was another long cycle! Nearly fell over when I tested after xmas and then felt a bit cheated as my scan in Feb showed I was nearly 15 weeks and I had him at 27 weeks!!!

I would have thought Clomid would make me ov a lot sooner than 4 weeks later so hopefully it was the Met and reflexology that worked!
