OK, what do you ladies think?

I have a 10 month DD, who still feeds 3 times in the day, and lots overnight. AF has not returned, but I have felt crampy and either ovulation type or AF approaching symptoms about 8 days ago, with no bleeding.

Since breastfeeding I have had a pretty low sex drive, and exhausted from having two DCs. However, coinciding with the crampy feelings, came a sudden increase in sex drive. My sex starved husband was thrilled, of course, and one thing led to another - unprotected . The same happened the following night .

SO, we have had sex twice unprotected around this time.

For the last three days I have had a sudden increase in exhaustion (I am knackered anyway, but I had to go and have a lie down while the children napped, and yesterday, I thought I was going to fall asleep in my seat.), and over the last three days I have also been feeling nauseous. Last night I thought I was going to actually be sick, overnight I felt nauseous, and this morning, I feel sick, particularly as I was eating my breakfast.

I have felt crampy, convinced I am about to start my period, just as I did when pregnant with my girls. Also, last night I started to feel almost unbearably hot.

Now where I need your help is that I am wondering if it is possible that I could be experiencing pregnancy symptoms so soon? Or is it just my body shifting hormonally, getting ready to resume periods?

Sorry Lou no real answers but wanted to bump this for you as you kindly responded to my plea earlier!

Unfortunately this could be another one where they symptoms could mean many different things. Have you done a hpt?

Lou - I am exactly the same as you. EXACTLY other than baby age - mine is 6 months and I had just started weaning. I am kicking myself now for not thinking about it but I hadn't even had a twinge that anything was going on in the ovulatory department and then the day after we had sex I started with the crampy feelings for about a week - definitely ovulation type pains and then AF type feelings for a week - you know the kind you go to the toilet with pad in hand, PMT the lot and then for the last week nothing. I don't feel pregnant. I am tired but then that is nothing new for me. I am having the hot flushes thing and stuff but I have no nausea and don't feel the least bit pregnant whereas by this time with my other two I was feeling like I had a hangover every morning.

I have done 4 hpts, I think the first couple were done about 12days after I had sex and 14 days and they were absolutely negative. Then I had to take really strong painkillers and I hadn't had my period so I thought I'd do a couple more just to rule it out and they have both come back with very very very faint lines - I am not convinced with the tests, I'm pretty sure they are evaps, but I'm still in this limbo.

I have trawled the different sites and it would appear many ladis are convinced they might be pregnant when their period returns and this would certainly have been true with my first, so I'm hoping that this is all it is, just my body cranking up to the return of my horrible dreaded cycles.

Although it wouldn't be a total disaster for me to be pregnant it wouldn't be great, my body has not recovered from my last and I had not planned another one for quite a while after my last awful pregnancy.

I'd be really obliged if you would let me know how you get on.

lou - thinking of you. Wish I could help on the answers front. It's all this waiting that's so frustrating but try not to let it get you down.

How are things for you today?

Still no period for me and feeling exhausted and full of nausea but that could be down to all number of things. Getting sick and fed up of it now.
