I have to take a sample with me tonight to my Doctor for a pregnancy test. I took one this afternoon and it seems it coulbe be an evaporation line as it was very faint and seen at 11 minutes.

(Please see other thread. 1 test stick left for all the details about the reading).

I am unsure whether to go. My sample with not be the first one of the day. The Doctor has said that this will not matter. I am just wondering if there is anything that I can do to help the sample be a bit more realiable. If it was faint this afternoon, how much different could it be in 5 hours.

Sorry, but not so quick after all.

Hold your wee as long as possible

yep, hold it in. It's concentrated (yellow) wee you want, not dilute (pale/clear) wee!

Thanks. My appoiintment is at 5.45 English time. I think that I should not have any more to drink. I have had a coffee and a large glass of energy drink so far. I last went to the bathroom an hour ago.

Do you think that about 5 or so hours is good enough, if I can manage?

Just the thought is making me want to go.

I need to maximise my chances of giving a strong enough sample if it is still very early to be testing.

That is it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not talking about it.

Going to take my mind off it and clean.

Really need to go now to bathroom.

......... Turning washing machine off.

......... Holding onto chair.

......... Glad it is not raining.

I may be back for some encouragement to stay away.

Keep busy and hold it as long as you can.
I'd save some whenever you do end up going as you never know when you're going to go again ...
Good luck

Just hanging on now.

Tried cleaning, but are desperate for bathroom. Had to stop cleaning.

I have only got three more hours. I am sure I will not be able to go that long. Yet, I have had nothing to drink for three hours and have been to bathroom twice.

The person who sold me my sticks has said that any line on the stick on the brand is more than likely a positive.

I am not building my hopes up though. I am still waiting to see.

Just waiting for DH to bring a sample pot home. I hope he arrives before I need to go.

Just hanging on. Just an hour to go.

Very desperate to go to bathroom and can not do anything that involves water. Although it has just started raining. LOL

I wondered if being very desperate will have any effect on the test or anything.

Still got my fingers crossed, but I will wait and see. Not too hopeful at the moment.

Any news?
Will you/did you get results there and then?
Fingers crossed - oh, and well done for holding on for so long!

Went to Doctors and saw the Nurse. She used a Clearview test and I had to wait with her for 5 mins with DH. We were both very nervous.

After the 5 mins she was convinced that there was a very faint line she thinks is a positive. She has given me another test to do at home when I am ready. There was definately a second blue line, but very very faint again.

I think, after looking on the internet that this make is a cassette 25ml/u, where as the one I used was 10ml/u stick. Not sure if this makes any difference. I also noticed that you can use it at any time of the day, so I did not need to worry so much about holding on.

I am just going to wait until Monday to test again just in case. Fingers still crossed.

Yes, fingers crossed.
I know folk say 'a line is a line' but until you see a big, thick, dark line you're not going to trust it ... I know I wouldn't.
