why am i bleeding?? Please help

wasnt sure where to post. I came off pill 4 months ago and had periods normally every month. This morning i have started to bleed well more like spotting. There is a small chance i could be PG. If i am i am only 2 weeks today.

If i am PG why am i spotting?! Anybody? I am concerned! Or am i being silly??

If im not PG why am i spotting?!! never normally do and havent changed anything, not on any medication etc.

Sorry if i sound silly, just worried in case i am PG

you need to do a pregnancy test, it could be that this is implantation bleeding which many women experience

what is that? Good or bad thing? ITs too early to test though... im not due on for another 2 weeks....

implantation bleeding is when the embryo embeds in the wall of the womb, it usually happens just before your period is due.

So this spotting you are experiencing is mid cycle?

I don't know what would cause that

So you'd only actually have been pregnant for a couple of days? Is that right? If so, it's too early for an implantation bleed - I had mine at about 8 weeks.

well last was on 23rd january. BD 10 days later and not since. So actually i would be 3 weeks not 2! duh! due on in 1 week. Have i jumped the gun about PG do you think? And just random periodness early?

Unfortunately there isn't anything you can do with your period so far away. I know it's hard but can you try to forget about it for a week?

If you only came off the pill 4 months ago it could be residual hormones left in your system from that. I came off the pill in Jan 06 and had regular periods straight away but then in April something weird happened and I had a really short cycle (16/17 days? can't quite remember) and two weeks of on/off light bleeding.
Just try not to worry about it - easier said than done I know.

Meant to say that after a year of ttc I went to GPs about it and showed her my diary of cycle dates she said that the short cycle was the residual hormones from the pill.

so according to my calculations, you are actually on day 24 of your cycle, and you BD 13 days ago?

It could very well be implantation bleeding

I would wait four days (then you will be on day 28) and do a pregnancy test.

4 days? That isnt as bad as a week so il think 'only 4 days' instead of '7days'

except earlier i did a test which i bought which is the earliest you can buy the 10miu which is 7 days from period due... was negative.. apparantly depends on concentration though..

If it develops into more bleeding- may just be early AF. Or you could be pg- may not be implantation bleeding- many people have random spotting in early prgnancy and their is no reason. I did with my first 2 pg but not this time!

Has it still stopped? You will just have to wait and do a test in a few days! I have always done tests too early and got -ve and done again a week later and got BFP!

hey mad4, im having something really similar right now...

4 months since coming off the pill and ttc. I have exact 28 day cycles and on day 23 i started bleeding (like a really light period) which lasted about a day an a half and then 3 days of spotting (really light pink & watery) sorry tmi i know. then it stopped so i did a HPT on the day my periiod was due and it was negative . Now Im not sure if I should be waiting for my period or not, but if I am then i'm 6 days late. Whats going on??? If anyone has any advice please please please share! X

toastytoast - you should do another pregnancy test - if you are pregnant, it should show a clear positive by now.
