Hi, I'm new to this site and I'm looking for some words of wisdom. After coil removed me & dh set about trying. AF didn't visit til 71/2 weeks after removal and was sooo heavy followed by spotting on boxing day then AF arrived 9 wks after 1st. Is this just my body adjusting or is something else going on. Got pg real easy with other 4 (1 whilst taking pill). Just don't know where I am, since removal I've felt unwell and slightly nauseous.

You've probably thought of the obvious: but any chance you are already pregnant and have bleeding in pregnancy? I think once Mirena coil is removed normal periods should start pretty much straight away.

mine were never normal until i got bfp , it took me 6 mh to conceive, cycles were 28, 32, 41,43,35 then bfp. So all over the place!

Good luck x

I conceived the first month after having the coil taken out (with twins) so I guess my cycle came back fairly regularly. And we only did it once, so the timing was right, not just luck.

Could you be pg and having a bit of breakthrough bleeding?

Katieskids, I had mirena coil after 5 years insitu last july, and my periods came back very regular 26-28 cycles lasting for about 4 days, I recently thought i was pregant, but turned out to be a longer cycle of 33 days! so be careful and use protection unless your ttc!
