OKay, I can do nuts and fruit for snacks and evening meals are asy, but what can I have on the run for breakfast that doesn;t include carbs and will keep me going until lunch and what can I take for lunch which will be filling without being carby and is easy to malke for a packed lunch. Thoughts, advice and help much appreciated.

Hi there

When I was on a 'anti-pcos' diet the acupuncturist I was seeing recommended having bran flakes with maybe some fruit (raspberries or raisins but not bananas(?)) with soya or rice milk rather than cows milk.

I did this unquestioningly and did lose weight (although tbh I only had a few kg to lose). In retrospect I put this down to cutting the amount of dairy I consume (I luuuuurve cheese, cream, full fat milk etc).

Good news is I'm now 8 weeks pg, not sure I can put it down to the diet (or the acupuncture) but I'm obviously not going to be asking for a refund!

Good luck

You could follow a low GI plan as this is more sustainable than a low carb plan. Another good option is to follow a low GL (glycaemic load) plan.

Collette Harris (herself a PCOSer) has written several cookbooks, I would have thought these also include suggestions for breakfast.
