right bit of a long story cut short....i'm being a surrogate mother for my best friend, we hope to start ttc in may. i cam off the pill in december have been tracking ovulation with OPK's since then...got no ovulation in the first cycle, then last cycle i got 2 days with a faint positive line with every wee. just came on yesterday and want to know if there's anything i'm doing wrong?....i dont think the faint positives were strong enough to make me trust them, the packs for the opk's say to test straight away and the leaflet inside said to wait till wee is room temp....i tried twice first cycle at room temp and got an invalid result.....and always get a clear negative with straight away....

going to get some tea now, but will try and pop back soon!!

Hi, don't really know much about opks (just started using them this month so all a bit new to me) but didn't want to leave your thread unanswered!

The only bit of advice I was given was to make sure you use the opk sometime in the afternoon (I tend to use it just after I get home from work at 7ish) and to make sure you've held your wee for about 4 hours before hand!

I'm also temping though as I'm not sure I would rely on opks alone (I have pcos which apparently can skew the results on opks).

Hopefully someone alot more informed than me will be along soon xx

I was always told to use an OPK first thing in the morning for the very same reason!

If you use the digital ones you get a definite result. The others are very much up to your own interpretation.
