Can anyone help - trying to work out OV dates

I have looked at sites that can help you to work out the best OV days. The trouble is, is that they ask for the average cycle length, plus the phase length. I am unfortunately unable to work this out.

I was pregnant before and suffered a misscarriage, but my dates were as follows.

LMP 27th July 2007 (average cycle 29 days)

Conception Date 12th August

Doctor gave me due date of 9th May 2008

Can anyone tell me if they can work out my phase length.

I am hoping that this may help me keep an eye on my OV days naturally.

Many thanks

I have never heard of phase length but they generally assume ovulation will occur half way through the cycle and your fertile days will cover that date and a couple of days either side...so if 29 days then most likely to be around day 14/15. Babycentre has an easy to use calculator here

Tis not an exact science though, I would try lots of days !! Good luck.

I'm sorry about your miscarriage . I'm not sure you can work out your ovulation dates without more information. You could try using ovulation predictor kits, but personally I found them no use at all (and very expensive). Some people get really clear results with them though. I check cervical mucous - have a look on the fertility friend website for more information on how if you want to try this way. Once you have figured out one ovulation you count the days forward until your period to give you the luteal phase - this shouldn't change from month to month. You know your avereage cycle, so can go from there. Best of luck!
