conceiving after ceasarean

Hi has anyone had problems conceiving after a ceasarean? I am 44 and have a 17 year old and a 1 year old. I ended up having an emergency ceasar for the last baby. Although I got pregnant again, I have just had a miscarriage at 10 weeks (baby died at 6) and the midwife suggested that the scar in the uterus can stop the placenta attaching properly. Any success or problems experienced by anyone else?

I've heard about this. It is called Ashermans's syndrome, although I don't know much else, although I think it is very rare
