first response - how sensitive?

Does anyone know what level HcG first response tests measure? I don't want to use a 'posh' test unless I'm sure it'll pick up a BFP - am very hopeful! [famous-last-words-emoticon]. Ran out of cheap access diagnostic ones (sensitivity of 10) so am cheap-test-less tomorrow am.
Any experts out there know?

Not sure but didn't want your post to go unanswered. I was a regular (too regular-lol )of the cheapo tests off Ebay and found them v. reliable.

GOOD LUCK!

yes, thats about right, I knew when I ovulated and I adjusted my LMP by 4 days to get a early scan earlier (2 previous miscarriages) When I went for my dating scan I was 1 day out on my adjusted date.

Wow those are early positives! Well I went for it with the FR and a BFN. Bugger. Am on day 29 (usually 26-28 days), have tons of symptoms and am not usually late but not even a glimmer of a line. I think I might just swear off tests. Until that BFN I was pretty certain - now I think I have a phantom pregnancy and bug. Last pg I tested positive at about 12dpo so I was hoping I'd get some certainty soon!
Isn't that crap that FR market themselves as 'early' yet are the same as Clearblue?
Will try to keep my mind off it for at least a few days. No tests in the house should help me not test (its like chocolate!)

I read on pub med study report of all the pregnancy tests or at least 7 or more that Forest response early detection tests pick up Hcg at 6 miU/ml and clear blue is 25 miU/ml and all the others they tested were 100 miU/ml

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/14749643/ So a min of 12.5 miU/ml of hcg needed to detect the majority of pregnancies on the first day of missed period and only 16% detected by the other tests
