Hi all
My partner and I had put appointment with the consultant yesterday and he confirmed that we can start ICSI in Feb. However he said he was somewhat concerned about my partners recent sperm test results which showed that none in the sample were 'normal'. We knew he had a low count, he had an operation as a baby for undesended testes, mobility is decent but now none look normal. The consultant suggested that he does some samples before egg collection so that they can freeze any normal ones so we are not reliant on the fresh sample on the egg collection day. He did mention worst case scenario is donor sperm which came as a shock as we'do never been told there were no normal sperm before. My question is, is it possible to get some normal sperm even after a sample where none were normal? Has anyone been through this scenario? I'm really scared and just feel we have no chance.
