TMI - EWCM!?!?

Hi Ladies,

I came off Yasmin a few weeks ago to get my cycles back to normal before TTC today i was very wet down there so worried about an early AF i went to sort myself out and all there was was this mass of discharge which i can only describe as what i used to get after sex whilst on the pill...

Is this my mucus plug going or just EWCM?

Mucous plug applies to you being pregnant and labour is imminent. Ewcm looks exactly like it sounds, like gooey raw egg white and happens during fertile window.

As pp say ewcm looks like raw egg whites. However the pill can cause a bit of a mucus plug to form due to the hormones. I lost my pill formed mucus plug about a week before my first pill free period. Hope that helps.

Thanks ladies! Need I read on here about a pill induced mucus plug so thats what i'm guessing it is i'm also due on in about a week so that fits perfectly basset

Yes this happened to me about 3 weeks after I came off the pill. It was after we had sex but was distinctly different to semen! Also after that, not as much seems to come back out after sex, so the mucus stuff must have been blocking my cervix.

Hi Ladies, thanks again for your help. I think previously when i have had sex on the pill the semen must have mixed with the mucus (sorry for tmi!) causing it to come out and thats why i think it looked similar. Anyways i have come to the conclusion it must be a mixture of both as there has been so much of it in the last 2 days and it has now gone perfectly clear like eggwhite!... xxxx
