Hi,
I'm new to this site and am hoping some of you wonderful people could help me.
We've been considering ttc number 3. There are a bazillion reasons we shouldn't do this namely that our house is too small (we're in the process of putting ours on the market) I work full time so would have to pay for childcare ( how expensive?!!) and there would be at least 12 years between our eldest child and a new baby. But we don't feel like our family is complete just yet. We havent officially started ttc have still used protection.
However, I was 7 days late for my period I did two tests, both negative. When it did come it was much lighter and it lasted 2 days instead of the usual 5-6. I'm 99.9% sure I'm not pregnant, but am concerned incase there was a medical reason behind this.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Was there a problem (medically) that caused the disruption?
Thanks in advance x

Hi there,
In a very similar situation to you; ttc number 3 but with eldest being almost 10 and youngest 6. Have a small house, work commitments etc but just don't feel done yet!
How old are you if you don't mind me asking? I'm 38 and have cycles ranging from 25 to 35 days. I suspect for me it may be age related but I'm still ovulating (as I test) but could be as early as day 11 or late as 18. I would suggest using ov tests, as so long as you are ovulating it's possible to get pregnant.
Lots of luck to you xx

Thank you for your reply.
I'm 31 so I'm not sure my age has started to go against me yet.
We tried for a couple of months at the beginning of the year. I used a fertility app and planned everything meticulously ( I didn't do anything like this for my other two pregnancies, just a lot of baby dancing Wink) and each time I had a negative it broke my heart. It worked first month with both of my children so I'd foolishly expected the same to happen 3rd time around. I think I'm going to really try not to get too bogged down with charting cm etc but I have bought some ovulation test kits just so I can understand my cycle a bit better.
