When to think about tests - TTC number 2

So,

Conceived first cycle (accident) - MC - aged 30
Conceived first cycle DS1 - aged 35
Conceived first cycle - MC - aged 38
Have been TTC 2nd child for 6 months now. I'm now 39. Should I go to the Dr for tests? Am trying to stay rational about it but have wanted a second for years (husband reluctant) now and worried we've left it too late.

They want you to be trying for 12 months before tests regardless of age. X
BUT it wouldn't hurt to see your GP with your history of MCs (so sorry for your loss) and air your concerns. Good luck!! X

Thank you so much. 12 months! I might consider getting tested privately in the New Year. So aware of age... X

I thought the NHS said 6 months if you're over 35?

If you’ve been trying for a year or more and have not become pregnant, see your GP. Your GP can do tests to help identify possible fertility problems, and provide advice on the next steps.
If the female partner is over 35, or you’ve had problems before, such as an ectopic pregnancy or surgery that may have affected your fertility, seek help sooner.

I think I'll see the doctor next month.
