TWW - could do with some company

Hi all. Just starting my 11th tww. According to Ovia I have 11 days until I should POAS. I'll add my stats below, but basically I could just do with a bit of company and support this cycle, as the ttc is starting to get me down (I've had one miscarriage at 8wks back in January, but nothing postive since ). I would love to conceive this cycle as its my two year anniversary in October and it would be lovely to surprise my DH with some good news SmileThanks

Had bfp cycle 2 which ended in mc at 7 weeks
Now on cycle 3 since mc - 3dpo test day 29th September which will be 14dpo but highly doubt I will last that long!

Sorry you're feeling down about it all, it is crap. Time seems to go so slow when you're waiting for that BFP every cycle feels like eternity! Are you feeling positive this cycle? We dtd Mon, Weds and Thurs (with ov on the Thursday) so I feel like we've done all we could have this cycle and just hoping luck is on our side this month.

Hi moonlight, thanks for joining me Smile. Sorry to hear you've also suffered a mc, hopefully this month will be your one! I'm not really down about it, but the first time we conceived was cycle 3, and now it's been 8 cycles since the mc - I was hoping to conceive again a bit quicker (don't we all, lol). I have high hopes for this month, we dtd sun, tues, thurs and today. My DH works away, so invariably we only manage to dtd for part of my fertile week most other months, so higher odds this cycle I reckon Grin. I'm also terrible for testing from day 10 dpi normally, lol! X

Thanks:)! Lol same, I expect I will cave and poas next Sunday at 10dpo but I'm really going to try and hold out to save any disappointment. Sounds like you've dtd enough too, fx for you! I know how you feel about hoping it would happen quickly again, let's hope this is the month for both of us!

Hi moonlight, how's it going for you? I was feeling so rough yesterday :( - not symptom spotting, I think I was just viral - hopefully that isn't a bad thing!! 4dpo, only a week before I can start my early fx poas! Lol x

Testing on 23rd sept

Had chemical miscarriage back in December and again in January.

Hate the 2ww. Whenever I google 8dpo it seems everyone has symptoms.

I have no symptoms today.

Hi User Smile - I'm terrible for the symptom spotting, lol, every twinge and sore boob gets googled! But it seems that some people get lots of symptoms while others have none and it doesnt affect whether you end up with a BFP. 8dpo onwards is always tough - the days just draggggg so much! Luckily I have a wedding to keep me busy this weekend, which should help with my clock watching, lol. Fingers crossed for you Grin xl

Ovia reckons I can test next Wednesday if I last that long! No real symptoms but I have a stinking cold so that's masking everything atm!

Hi Jackie - we're Ovia twins this month, lol. I'll be testing Wednesday too Grin. Nothing for me either so far, although I'm not sure if tooth ache is a symptom Hmm - after so many months ttc I'm trying not to read into anything!

Hi Moonlight, 6dpo ... only a few more days now. I'm lucky I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to go ott this month! About 3 cycles after the MC I had a testing obsession and ended up using about 8 of the bloody things that month, so now if I get an early negative I try and not test until AF is due... although we'll see how that swirls out this month Grin xx

I've been temping for the first month so will have a look how those are looking and decide! jackie I'm feeling crappy today, woke up with a slight cold too but hoping it doesn't get any worse.

12dpo - you must have the patience of a saint moonlight. We're off to Greece to celebrate our anniversary next week, so may have to stick up and pack some tests to take with us if I don't get a bfp on Wednesday, (we're flying out weds afternoon) lol!! X

Cycle 30 Sad

Had a miscarriage in Feb.

Have an appointment to see someone in October but we live in the states and don't have health care so will only be able to afford initial testing and no fertility treatments. More to find out if it's even worth trying anymore.

Ive had it girls. Im still 4/5 days from af. Horribly unlikey im upduffed this month due to minimal dtd but ive decided i cant wait a second longer to know for sure, so we need to join forces with the scientific community and get a test that can identify pregnancy a day or two after conception!!

Hello all

This is my first time doing anything like this i.e. posting on a thread like this!

Age 38
TTC number 2
Cycle 2 post-missed miscarriage at 13 weeks
Cycle day 28
Only recently started using OPKs- CD 16 & 17 got the darkest 2nd lines but not sure if they were proper positives
Think my cycles seem to be around 33 days but things have been a bit all over the place since the miscarriage
No ideas what's going on really! Confused

Hi EJ and Turquoise Smile. Agreed EJ, we need some sort of implant confirmation test Grin. I know what you mean Turquoise my cycles were 28 days until the MC, now.... well your guess is as good as mine, anything ranging from 26 to 36 (that was the mega test month!) days. It's so frustrating as I was so regular before! It's funny though, as I've been doing the clear blue opk for a few months and I seem to consistently ovulate on cd14/15 regardless of the total cycle length. X

Hi [waves]
That's really interesting, I've kind of always just gone on the assumption that ovulation is around 14 days before a period starts, but this really is not always the case.

I have been on the pill so long that I really am not familiar with my 'normal' cycle.

The past couple of months since the miscarriage have been interesting as I feel I'm getting to know my body a bit better as I've tried to follow the cycles.

When I fell pregnant earlier this year it was shortly after stopping the pill, but when looking back at the dates (with the help of Ovia!) I realise that when I fell pregnant, me & DH had sex on CD15 (the only time we did that month!).

This confused me a bit when thinking that my cycles are 33 days...but maybe I ovulate earlier? although the OPKs seem to suggest around CD 16/17

TurquoiseDress · 21/09/2016 22:49

I can totally see how this TTC can take you over completely and make you sightly obsessive about everything!

The OPK sticks & downloading the Ovia app are the only things I've done since the MMC, although I did order a thermometer for BBT & started recording that each morning a few days ago.

Fingers crossed for all of us!

turquoise ov on 16/17 would be about right if you dtd on cd15. The egg only lives about 12 hours if it's not fertilised. Sperm can live up to 5 days which is why it's best to dtd before ov so they're already in there waiting when the egg is released :)

The best way to know your lp for sure though is bbt so good job starting that!

Report
MoonlightMojitos · 21/09/2016 23:00

Also... my cycles are still messed up from mc too which is why I decided to start opks and bbt. I was just guessing before but regular cycles so it was easier.

minniewinnie · 22/09/2016 09:04

Hi Turquoise, I hadn't really thought about the timing of periods being relative to the ovulation, prob just because (when I have used opk's) I always seem to Ov at around the same time. My cycle length is completely out of whack tho and every month I have a 'normal' 28 day one I think to myself 'oh that's it, it'll all be on track now' and then the next month it'll be a 34 day-er!

Anyway 6pdo! Whoop Smile - only 4 days until poas becomes my new hobby, lol!

When are you able to start pregnancy testing from?

I know that even if you are pregnant there might not be enough of the hormone BHCG to be picked up.

Only have the cheap PT sticks- I refuse to spend 15 quid on two tests from Clearblue!

Is the 2ww, 2 weeks post-ovulation day?

In my previous pregnancies I wasn't counting days or calculating anything so I tested when my period was around a week late.

Report
minniewinnie · 22/09/2016 11:53

In more sensitive tests you can test up to 4 days before your period if due, with cheapie your prob better off waiting until you think you're late if possibly a day or two early Smile x

I got my BFP last time 13dpo, that was the first test I'd done and it was a strong positive but I think it can completely depend on hormone levels and when implantation happens. That was a clearblue, I'm not sure how sensitive the cheapies are but I'll probably test 12dpo depending how I feel, otherwise hold out til 14dpo to save the disappointment.

How you feeling today minnie?
