Thread 18 TTC#1 We have cats, courgettes AND cake(966 Posts)
Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.
We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier
We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.
Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!
Welcome all 🙋
Starting tests next cycle if no BFP this cycle.
love the pic !!!!
sneaky ~7week jellybean. Exact date not known as i wasn't having periods when i conceived. Have a scan for friday. still stalking this group as the outside world is scary (ok... graduate thread is also friendly [smiley])
Hi!! love that pic Alice - well done for starting new thread
TTC #1 cycle 0 (mc on cycle 6 so I am starting again!) and still waiting for af after mc.
Fed up and tired of bleeding.
Woo, new thread!
Congrats Kwick on your egg! Fx that magic potion does it's job and you get a nice little blastocyst to put back!
Cd 10 today and my fertility monitor says it's high fertility. Seems early for me. I've started agnus castus this cycle (after the epic 61 day cycle I've just had), so I wonder if that's having an effect.
I went to an Ann Summers party last week organised by a colleague. Bought a couple of sexy numbers in the hope that it might make dtd a bit more regular and not so much going through the motions.
It erm, seems to have worked lol!
Well done alice - great new thread
Here are my stats:
ok so I might be 42
I am single and do not have any cats but I have a lovely nephew who I love dearly.
Started last year via IUI - did 6 of those then went on to IVF earlier this year. Got my first BFP in March but sadly MC in April. Just had IVF (natural this time) egg collection yesterday... AND THE CLINIC JUST CALLED!!!! 1 very good quality egg nicely fertilised!!! Embryo transfer likely this Friday!!!!
I welcome any questions regarding cayenne pepper, cinnamon, DHEA, folic acid for plus size ladies, pineapple, oh and milk!!!!
great news kwick !!!!!
good news for you too pug
skip hope things settle for you soon.
Excellent news kwick !! And pug got my fingers crossed for you all!
Thanks for new thread alice
Starky/Audrey/Stardrey, 30, still hovering here lurking waiting for the bfp's with you all! BFP on cycle #3 : average cycle 39-45 days, opk addict, poas refuser. 28 weeks with a vanilla sideways lying boxer ticking my ribs.
Hi all ,
I have been of mumsnet for a while as i was in a bit of a state after my last period arrived
Feeling af cramps so she should make her areival as always on time tonorrow or on friday
I have been to a private clinic last week for what is called a fertility mot . All seems fine doctor saw that i ovulated and my endometrium lining was ok
I decided to leave it for a year and then go through the nhs route if no joy!
How exciting kwick fingers crossed for you !!
Nice to see you nicky please take the peace of mind the MOT afforded - you mark my words you will be with child before the year is out
starky was it only on cycle 3? I am sure it felt much longer than that.... And now look at you at 28 weeks!!!
Thanks for the new thread Alice and for the laugh - that picture is hilarious!
25 and happily married 5 years
TTC #1 since early 2015
CP June '15
Lost count of what cycle I'm on now. About 4-5 cycles have been bust for various reasons. Only started charting, joined online communities, opks etc in Feb/March 2016 after getting AF on my 25th birthday (6 days late) and having the mother of all meltdowns.
MC July '16
Emotionally drained but still hoping we can finally start our family for real very soon.
Yay Kwick amazing news. Fx for you!
Hep looking forward to your next scan update!
It was kwick Was just my cycles were soooo long that it seemed an eternity, I was on the thread from the first one too which was end of September starting
if I remember rightly and because was tracking my ovulation, but not actively ttc until December. But I always hope that it will give others a boost because despite long as balls and being unsure if I was ovulating consistently, I still got a bfp. It can be done!
Really got my fx for you!
Ooh new thread! Love the gorilla!
Marmite, 31. Two cats, a tomato plant and a ~7+3 raspberry (according to Ovia) BFP on cycle 3 with loooong 38 day cycles. Fairly certain I concieved the day I got shat on by a pigeon
Still lurking waiting to see more bfps which I know are just around the corner!
Woohoo congrats on the fertilised egg kwick!! Fx for Friday!
Glad the Anne summers outfits are doing the trick pug
Quite jealous of all the dtd, have only dtd once since getting BFP a month ago... Have just really not felt like it at all but am missing the closeness with DH after all the regular ttc dtd. Maybe will try and get back on it this weekend
Have got to dash lunch hour over 5 mins ago! Hope everyone else is OK!
Hurrah new shiney thread!
Cycle. ...6? Oh god I've lost track!
Regular cycles of 28 days apart from one on cycle 3 or 4 where the bitch teased me with a 36 day-er. Generally a late ovulation means a constant battle to lengthen luteal phase.
Hello thanks for thread Alice.
Cycle 2 after break
Kwick wow great news
Yay MN responded to my thread report to make the AND capitalised #perfectionism
Cycle....maybe 16? I've lost count! 1+ years trying.
Kwick congratulations of eggy!!!!
Yay new thread
32 years young
Day 15 (+OPK today wahoo)
1 lovely husband and cat
Awesome news kwick well done eggo
Here's hoping thread 18 is a fruitful one I am looking forward to seeing more BFPs xxx
Cycle 19..20? Started April 2015
It's been a long haul. No CPs, no MCs, just no BFPs ever. 2 day 21 bloods confirm I'm not ovulating (or not regularly) despite regular 28 day cycles. Dh just had a SA test that showed moderately low speed count. Waiting for another blood test and SA test before GP will refer to the fertility clinic.
Trying to be patient as its dsis wedding abroad in May and wouldn't want to miss it really. Original plan was to have a couple months off ttc in order to not miss it, but after the SA results we decided to f* it and keep trying bc you never know.
I tend to dip in and out of the thread depending on how well I'm coping but always come back to see how everyone is getting on. Really excited for you kwick! Best of luck for Friday.
Oh new thread!
Had some ewcm for the first time 3 days ago and again today which was rather exciting!
Great news about the egg kwick
Cheers Alice Shiny new thread alert! Lots of BFP's on this one please!
CD3 of cycle 9 (10???) however a few months have been washouts due to ill timed training courses and holidays without DP.
New burst of enthusiasm this month. OPK's and every other day bonking is the plan!
Really excited for you kwick - fingers crossed for smooth implantation!
