Hi all, I'm very new to this so please forgive me if I make any mistakes!
My husband and I have been ttc for a year now, ramping up efforts in the last three months by using an app to track dates and ovulation sticks.

I'm now 10 days late for my period; I'm normally quite regular so this is odd. I have terrible terrible stomach pains - cramping, bloating, gas, lower pelvic pain and back aches. I have had 9 BFN on HPT.

I went to my gp yesterday who did another test which was negative. He said my temp was high. He also said my urine was cloudy which was concerning and asked me to drop in a sample today to send off to be tested - for what, I have no idea!

He has referred me for some blood works to check my fertility; to check ovulation etc but they are all to be done on specific days of my cycle and obv I'm not on my period now and so have no idea when I can go and get those done!

My husband is convinced I am pregnant. I feel different but am worried it's something else. I've never been 10 days late before though but I don't have nausea or sore breasts and there was no implantation bleeding; that, plus the constant BFN tests has me sure I CAN'T be.

I'm just desperately frustrated and in quite a bit of pain. The stomach ache is nearly unbearable and hasn't let up in ten days. My dr was as helpful as he could be I'm sure but basically said 'I don't know' a lot. He didn't know why I wasn't menstruating, why I wasn't getting pregnant, why I had a stomach ache this bad, why my temp was high etc. I'm going insane thinking about it all and guess I just want to talk to some women going through this all!! IS it at all possible that I'm still pregnant despite the BFN? Google says I might be dying otherwise!

Anything you can suggest of similar experiences would be so gratefully received! SadFlowersFlowersCake

Just to manage your expectations and your DH's I doubt you are with the bfn's including the doctors. It sounds a bit like a UTI? That shouldn't affect your period though. Stress can but I'm sceptical about that.

The stomach ache should have been properly checked and dealt with by your doc.

Has your doctor sent you for any blood work at all yet or has he just asked for the specific bloods to test ovulation? Xx

If you're still suffering with the high temp and stomach aches for more than a week from your first appointment, I'd go back.

Do you know you definitely ovulated? The sticks only tell you that you are gearing up for ovulation, they don't confirm it. Lots of things affect your period and can cause it to be late, but this is actually ovulation that is late, not your period itself. The timeframe between ovulation and your period does not change. I would actually hazard a guess that you ovulated late and what you are experiencing are symptoms of progesterone. A nurse once took my temp before I was due on and said it was high. It was high, it always is after I have ovulated. It's supposed to be! I would be inclined to wait it out a bit longer in your position and consider temping so you can see when you ovulated.
On a side note however, your doctor needs to be requesting basic fertility tests if you are struggling to conceive. Ask for the day 2-5 bloods, day 21 bloods, thyroid checks and vitamin/mineral levels. Your dh should also have a sperm analysis.

Sounds like you have a bad Urine infection. They can make you really poorly and in lots of pain. There could be an underlying issue for your missed period. If your still in pain you should go back to doctor.

Hey all, thank you so much for your responses!
I'm sure I'm not pregnant, it's just managing my husbands excitement that's the issue tbh!
If I did ovulate late, why would this never have happened before? I'm never normally late so it seems odd that I would suddenly be you know?
I've attached an image of my ov sticks for this month to see if you think I ovulated or not!
Stomach is still very painful xxx

I'm always on time every month but April this yr I was 10 days late. Was very miffed. You need to go docs. You may need antibiotics. I'm no good with Opk sticks, sorry.

To have a positive OPK the second line (one lower down) needso to be darker than the control line (one nearest to the pink) the only one I'd say that was closest to that would be the second one down. Also, what time of the day did you test? The best time to take an opk is about 2pm in the afternoon rather than the first week of the day xxx hope this helps xx

I guess I'm just confused; perhaps I didn't ovulate and that's why no period BUT why has this never happened to me before in 15 years?!

I know I'm not pregnant but I'm just worried now that something is really wrong and that's why I'm so late ShockShock

I would also say that the only opk that looks close to positive is the second one down. It doesn't confirm you ovulated though, just that your body geared up for it. I've had this before but not ovulated until later. Stress and flying seem to be the things that delay ovulation for me. I use my bbt to confirm it has happened (well I did up until last weekend, but that's another story!)
A cycle with no ovulation every so often is normal and nothing to worry about unless it is happening regularly.
With regards to the symptoms I'm just wondering if there is a cross over of causes. Is it your stomach as in where your actual stomach is, or where you get period cramps lower down?

I don't think any of your OPKs look positive to be honest. The second one down looks on its way but definitely not there. I've had a few cycles where my ovulation has been delayed and I've always felt more bloated etc than normal months. Your symptoms sound a bit worse than that though. UTI does sound likely? Hope you get some answers soon x

Where is your stomach ache located? If you are in so much pain you need to go to the doctors today.

I really do think you need to seek help from a Doctor. If it's a kidney infection left untreated you can get really poorly.

Go to the doc! This is not normal. Doesn't sound serious but does sound like it needs to be identified and treated. I think the lack of period is a red herring but then again could be related. Go to the doc.

Indeed, you need that stomach ache sorted. How old are you? Where is your stomach ache located, it could be appendicitis or a blocked bowel or anything. I agree with dolly and say that the lack of AF is a red herring

Hey! I'm 30

I don't think it's my appendix because it's all over my stomach and not just located in the right side. I handed in a urine sample on Tuesday and get results soon. If pain is still bad by Monday I'll go back to the Drs.

I'm really concerned about no period as I haven't missed one or been so late before but you are right, it's distracting from the stomach pain
Thank you all xxx

I've randomly missed 2 in my adult life. They just never came (weren't even late, simply didn't come and got my next one on time). Otherwise I've been completely regular and got pregnant 3 times the first month trying. Sometime you simply skip a period. But I hope you figure out the tummy pain soon and feel better.
