Hi all,

After a disappointing few cycles I've decided it's time to get serious and start trying to get a clearer idea of when I was ovulating. However, I have no idea how they work, which sensitivity or brand is best! Can anyone recommend a brand for me please?

Hi Mamma!

Everyone raves about the Clear Blue Digital one, as its easier to read the smiley face symbol than interpreting a line on the conventional sticks. Asdas ovulation tests are good and very reasonably priced. Pee on the stick and if the test line is as dark or darker than the control line, the LH surge has been detected and you should ovulate in the next couple of days. Simples, so dtd for those days and fingers crossed you catch. Just be aware that there is always a small amount of LH present in your pee anyway, so if you aren't in the surge you will still see a line but it will be feinter than the control line. That is a negative. It tells you in the instructions whay CD to start testing on, depending on your cycle length.

I have conceived using both of the above, so would definitely recommend. Which one you use dependson how much money you are willing to spend.

Hope it works for you too! Smile
