Same here. Just took the first lot of the second round..... not hoping for much success from it tbh!

Clomid was one of toughest medications I've ever taken - it had a huge impact on my moods, really knocked me for six.
I didn't get pregnant on any of my 3 consecutive cycles, but I did get pregnant the month after. I have no idea if that was just coincidence or if the Clomid gave a bit of a kick to my system which lingered (I don't know if that is medically possible even).
Good luck to you both.

Worked for me - on second cycle. It's a horrible drug though, made me feel emotionally unstable. Hope you have success soon.

Are you being monitored on it? You should at least be having day 21 bloods which will show if you are ovulating on it or not. In an ideal situation you should be having monthly scans to check for follicles developing.

With DD it worked on the 6th cycle for us, oddly enough the month after I'd taken a break because it was turning me into some kind of dragon.

First time we had 6 cycles then 6 cycles of IUI before I got pregnant.

Also Clomid is actually good prep for the revolting meds IVF uses. The make you feel so much worse and the pressure is so much greater. And as we found out recently the crashing feeling of failure when it doesn't work is huge.

Clomid is very successful but sometimes people can be resistant to it. 50, 100 and 150 didn't work for me until I added in 1000 metformin (all I can tolerate). I am now in the dreaded 2 week wait before I can test. Fingers crossed you see improvement with 100 but ask for metformin if you don't xxx

It worked for me on 2nd cycle after 3 1/2 years of trying as others have said it does have strong side effects but worth it in the long run. I'll be starting again in the new year.

My Clomid baby is currently pestering me because he wants biscuits for lunch.

I had 3 cycles. My first was 50mg and I didn't ovulate. Second was 100mg, I ovulated but didn't conceive. Then it was third time lucky! It was awful on my mental health and I ended up having to step down from a promotion at work at the end as I couldn't handle the extra stress. It was all worth it though!

I have a nearly 22 year old, conceived after Chlomid. Prior to this I never even had periods and never ovulated. I both ovulated and conceived in the first month. Now have 3 children but with the second the Chlomid didn't work and I had an ovarian wedge resection (for PCOS) and my third was unplanned as for some reason, when I reached 40, my periods started! Good luck!

I have a second child conceived as a result of Clomid. It happened on the third month of trying. Give it time! Good luck. Flowers

Thanks can I ask about your side effects ? I imagine the more side effects the more chance of it working? I may be wrong! Would love twins they may be more risky pregnancy wise but would be ideal as I want two children!

The only side effects I got were night sweats. I had 2 lead follies and a smaller 1 and now I'm in the dreaded two week wait. 9 days to go....

That sounds hopeful. I'm having night sweats but tolerating the higher dose better!
