Help me surprise DH on his birthday with BFP

Evening all,

I was wondering if I could ask you all for your infinite wisdom when it comes to planning surprises?

I'm pretty sure that I'm pregnant with #2 (usual symptoms coupled with the fact that AF is now 1 day late) but I haven't poas yet as had MIL here for the last few days and I definitely don't want her getting wind of it yet (can't keep a secret). Anyway, it's DH's birthday tomorrow and I was just thinking it might be nice to surprise him with the news, assuming it is a BFP tomorrow morning.

Can u think of a cute way I could maybe include my DS (17mo) or maybe a poem I could write in his card?

Last time I just waved the stick under his nose when he woke up! Grin

You could take a golden shower together and say, 'Does my piss taste different, darling?'

Oh wow, unnecessary Queen!!

How about getting a daddy birthday card and signing it off DC and bump? Or attaching the positive test to the string of a helium balloon in a box?

Totally unnecessary Queen.

Thanks Wheels, that's more along the lines I'd been thinking

Wow Queen, extremely RUDE!!!!!

I love thinking of these things. I never did any surprises. For my third, I want to do something. We aren't trying yet, but I'm hoping to in the next few months.

For my second, I emailed a photo of the positive test and asked "what does this look like to you?" Lol

Other ideas - put a "big sister" or big brother shirt in DC and let her walk around. See if your husband notices. If he doesn't, you could say "I went shopping and bought DC a new shirt, what do u think?"

Or put a bun in the oven and tell him to go check out the birthday cake you left him in the oven 😀

Write an I owe you gift card, say he will receive the gift in about 9 months time.

There are lots of ideas for this on Pinterest! Like the t-shirt idea! Have also seen child with t-shirt or even just a sign made that says
'Only child expiring...'
Then a month/year date. Maybe this would be easier to do short notice as you could make a sign. You could just put 'only child expiring 2017 or soon' if you weren't sure of dates etc. Smile

Depends if you'll have chance to pop to the shops in the morning or not but how about a teddy that you can record your voice on? If you already have a LO you could record it saying happy birthday from you, your little one's name, & the bump
