Hello, I'm newish to mum's net.
I was wondering how long It take to get pregnant after the depo injection.
I have only had one injection.
How long did It take you?.
I have taken some ovulation test but they're all negative so far.
Any help would be nice. Thank-you.

Hiya, took me nearly 2 years but I was on the injection for about 10-12 yrs. I worked with a gynaecologist once who said it was about 100x stronger than it needed to be. Googling told me it can take about 2 years to get out of your system. Hope it's not that long for you.

I was on it for 12 years in total with an 18 month gap at 7 years when I was on the pill.

I had my last injection in Dec 2011 then went onto the pill in Feb 2012, which I took until May 2012. I barely had periods in my 18 month gap, but had normal periods in my weeks off from the pill. I conceived after 4 months / 5 cycles after coming off the pill, so around 10 months after my last jab.

Hi

I'm going through this now. I was on it for 5 years. I had my last injection on October 2015, which means it should have started to wear off by the end of December 2015.

Periods came back in March 2015. I've been trying for the last two cycles (April and May). Haven't managed to get a positive on the ovulation stick yet which has been driving me crazy, but had lots of other signs I am seemingly ovulating.

Just waiting to see if my period shows up next week. Gut feeling, I don't think I'm pregnant this month :(

I think it varies a lot from person to person. Don't google it, the horror stories will give you nightmares. While the Internet suggests it takes everyone years, really it's skewed because women who had no problems haven't posted about it online. Apparently 90% of women are pregnant 12-18 months after coming off depo.

Good luck

18 months and I started having irregular periods after about 12 months off so that's reasonably quick. The injection is an absolute nightmare.

I had it after DC2, only the 1 because it turned me into satan's sister!!! Angry Bird

I got pregnant again when DC2 was 16mths

With or without contraception, I have had my babies 26mths apart - not by design, just by fate..... 14mths between DC4 - DC5 though Blush

9 months for me after the 'end' of the last injection. Sorta screwed my perspective as I got pregnant again the second time after my first cycle as I had thought it would take the same time again.
