Thought I would create a fresh thread as the original had been going since Feb. This is for anyone TTC #1, a bit of moral support as we all attempt to embark on the scary journey that is parenthood! Join us if you are a mix of terrified and excited, don't really know what you're doing yet and hadn't heard of CM before you started reading Mumsnet!!

Hey! I'm Eva, age 30, ttc#1, in cycle 2, CD11, DTD as much as poss until about day20, like we're brand new lovers again hahaGrin have been doing OPKs the past few days, there's a faint line but not dark so I'm taking the faint ones as 'soon to ov' - is that what other folk think?

Thanks for new thread!
I'm 28 ttc #1
Currently on 6cycle
Cd19 atm
Using OPKs almost everyday to try figure out if I ov at all! FollowingSMEP plan too ( dtd pretty much every other day)

Just ordered some chasteberry supplements from Amazon today! Hopefully to help with ovulation. Read about herbs that can help from ovia app.
I'm a bit concerned that I have a very short luteal phase but can't be sure as I'm not sure when or if I ov. Have never had positive OPK thus resorting now to using everyday, twice some days!
This ttc is expensive business!

Hi
I'm 26
Ttc baby number one
On cycle 2 - CD 21 so a week past ovulation and just playing the waiting game now. Came off the pill early April and had a normal 28 day cycle so just waiting to see what will happen this month.

May I join?

Lucy

TTC #1
Cycle 1, CD42 (stick with me... I will explain!!)

Had the Mirena coil removed 15/04, AF came 17/04 after no AF whatsoever on the coil for the last 3 years and tracked ovulation using OPKs. Appeared to show a surge CD13/14 so that would now make me 13/14 days late for AF but had multiple BFNs. Felt really crap when AF should have been due- like I should have been on but wasn't and it was loads worse pain and weepiness wise!! I did some more OPKs the other day (CD35/36/37) due to dull right sided pain (ovulation?) and they came positive around CD36/37. By some miracle we managed to time DTD just right despite him being vv busy and me feeling like utter crap. Have done a couple more OPKs since and they appear to have tapered back down again so into my second TWW!! Phew!! Now 5dpo according to FF and so wish I had temped to confirm but no matter!! I don't feel like anything at the moment, just normal and very level (which is saying something for me haha)

Anyway hi all!!

Hello everyone, I'm 25, TTC number one, on third month now. Trying to go with the flow this month, but I know the signs of ovulation now so I'm finding it hard to do that x

Hi all! Can I join please?! I am very new to all this and still getting my head around all the different abbreviations... It's like a whole new language!
Our journey is being made that bit harder as DH is away a lot due to work. So having to be very very relaxed about it all (easier said then done) and DTD whenever he is home in the hope that it miracously happens at the right time Wink

Anyway a bit about me...
I'm 29 TTC #1
Very end of cycle1 CD28... Awaiting AF any day now! Not getting my hopes up due to the reasons explained above! Xx

Hello other first timers, what a terrifying exciting time! I keep freaking out and wandering what I am doing but I think that mostly comes from social pressures, lots of my friends have gone off travelling or are focusing in their careers but that doesn't interest me, I don't know why I feel like ttc at 26 seems too young and that people would judge me for it. Anyone else have these concerns? Its great to have a place we can talk about it or I would drive my OH mad!

Good luck everyone :) glad to be following you all on your journey xx

fuzzinmybrain · 29/05/2016 13:08

Haha, MrsGSnow, not sure I can handle another month at that rate! ConfusedGrin

Rosey, I'm the first one to TTC in my friend group (as far as I know!) and I keep having moments when I freak out. But like you, I'm not interested in travelling, or clubbing, and I work from home so I'm in a completely different place to most of my friends. I haven't even told my best friend we're TTC as I feel she would judge me...

Hello all, this is my first post

I am trying to conceive again afte suffering a MC in December :-(
But anyway:

TTC baby number 1
Cycle=1
dpo 10, had a positive OPK.
Planning to test tomorrow

I am finding the whole business of ttc an emotional roller coaster, specially after mc. I keep thinking I won't be able to conceive ver again!
Good luck to everyone, it's helpful knowing there is lots of people in my same situation. xx

Fuzz I feel the same, I do have one friend who has a baby and we have become so much close since she had her lo as before that she used to go out to the pub all the time and our lives were quite different but since she had the baby we have had so many nights in together and gardening days and just seem to have a lot more in common. It's still scary though. I get worried that even though it's something I really want what if I cant cope, I suffer from anxiety and I get worried that it will make it worse. I try not to think like that as I am so much better than I used to be and I suppose it's natural to find it scary.

Hello all, this is my first post on a forum ever! Felt I needed to put something down as this TTC thing is an emotional roller coaster and it's difficult to talk to friends about it at the moment.
I am 30 years old TTC baby number 1, cycle = 6.
Is anybody else struggling with the pressure of conceiving? I keep getting told to relax and chill out but TTC seems to be the only thing I am thinking about at the moment!

Report
MrsGsnow18 · 30/05/2016 15:34

Hi Lottie I know exactly how you feel! Thinking about TTC has just kind of taken over my mind!
I'm using OPKs every day and putting my data into ovia so it's hard not to think about it! It's so good coming on here though and seeing other people are in same situations!
I'm also on cycle 6 ttc #1!

Report
Lottie177 · 30/05/2016 19:13

Thanks MrsGsnow18 for replying, it's nice to know you are not alone! I have bought an ovulation predictor for this month and been using ovia so will see how that goes. Trouble is I start symptom spotting after ovulation and convince myself I might be pregnant!
It seems like it's so much harder when you make the decision to start trying, wish we could have just had an "accident" before! The pressure would have been off.
Keep me posted on your progress and good luck this cycle, fingers crossed cycle 6 is our lucky month!

Rosey and fuzz I'm exactly the same... Feel I'm not 'old enough' but we are both so ready, or as ready as we can be; together 10 years, Married for 3, own our home, stable income, got a dog who seems happy and stable enough! And our friends are always saying we act about 10 years older responsibility and lifestyle wise (we still know how to have fun but we have been saving to buy our home and are now doing work on it, we don't holiday to Ibiza we go to Wales walking, enjoy cosy nights in and weekends working on the house!) our friends and family won't be surprised (my friends keep asking when we will give them a baby to play with Hmm) but I feel like society in general may judge more!! Specially as I look at least 3 years younger than I am Blush

Hi all! Yeah the stress of ttc is getting to me too. The constant opk's and don't get me wrong dtd is fun but when it's scheduled it becomes more of a chore!
I'm on CD14 we followd smep and had what I believe is a positive opk on cd10. Does anyone else struggle to see a dark line on the opk? The instructions say that anything other than a line the same colour or darker is negative. Mine are never like that however it does get darker then lighter Hmm
Anyway now we have one more day of dtd and the the dreaded 2ww😯!! Good luck everyone!
