well I had acupuncture before and after I had my second course of IUI and have a DD to show for it... the reflexologist even told me I was pregnant 4 days after the treatment as she could tell changes in my pulse... I am totally convinced it helped prepare my body and mind for the baby...

yes I did. Had it for about a year with no results, carried on with it though as I do believe it helped me relax etc. Ended up having IVF and carried on with the acupuncture throughout treatment/pregnancy.

Sorry to hear you've been having such a hard time lissielou. I can recommend my acupuncturist in London who does a lot of infertility work. Areyou in London?
BUMP for someone else

I am convinced that reflexology helped with my secondary infertility. After 2 sessions, my cycle changed from 35 days to 28 days. Within 4 months of starting, I was pregnant (had been trying for 4 years up till then). Now have a 1 year old dd to show for it. Also had the side-effect of clearing up an ongoing problem with blocked sinuses pretty much overnight. Good luck - and HTH.

haven't tried acupuncture, but I conceived within 5 weeks of starting reflexology... after ttc no. 2 for 1.5 years. Would recommend it for helping you relax, if nothing else! Good luck

I had it for about 5 months last year and I didn't get pregnant in that time. However, it was good to have someone to talk to who was interested in my temperatures and who was a very good listener regarding m/c. It also made me feel like I was doing something.
So, it kind of helped me psychologically but I don't think it made any difference physically.

There was an article in EVE a couple of years ago and then a few months later another one on half a dozen women who had gone to a particular clinic and were now expecting.

www.acupuncture.org.uk - you can search for practitioners there. I had acupuncture through first pregnancy and am currently waiting for cd21 blood tests for secondary infertility (had ectopic pregnancy in 2005 and lost right tube) - if the tests come back fine/I have an HSG and all is fine, will go for acupuncture to kick things off.

Have heard of good results with reflexology too.

Hi lis, I started Acupuncture last week - although not for infertility, mainly to help reduce stress due to 3 mc's. She said that there isn't anything wrong with me except alot of worry which she can hopefully help with. She is very holistic and has also given alot of nutritional advise which together will hopefully help prepare my body so that it can carry a pregnancy full term. I have also found out I have a bicornuate uterus which has made me worry quite a bit. I'm not sure that it is going to make any miracles happen, but I think it helps your mind by the fact that you are doing something to help the situation rather than purely allowing fate to take it's course. I'm certainly going to give it a go until I can't aford it any more (or until hopefully I am holding my own healthy little baby in my arms)
