Ovulation bleeding - what does it look like? (TMI)

I've had pretty irregular periods recently so I've been putting my random bleeds down to irregularity but I'm wondering if I'm having ovulation bleeds?
I'm on CD16 and i started bleeding this morning. It's kind of red but not bright red and it has long gloopy stuff that looks like EWCM mixed in with it. It's also not as much as a period, definitely enough to need a pad but wouldn't fill more than a pantyliner in a day I don't think.
Can anyone enlighten me on what ovulation bleeding looks like? I'm prepared for the TMI!
