Hello ladies. I noticed the last thread filled up, seemed to happen all of a sudden! Hoping you find your way here (prepares for tumbleweed)

For reference here's thread 3 www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2593041-TTC-after-miscarriage-lucky-thread-number-3

All those we are trying to conceive a child after miscarriage are welcome here, whether it's your first or you already have DC

Good luck ladies. Let's have some BFPs, we've earned it

Sorry AF got you Amy. Hope you're feeling a bit more ready to get your shagathon on after it's over! I find after AF is over my sex drive perks up again so I'm ready to go for the new cycle

Hope you and DH get back on track soon Cheeky. I agree about not putting your life on hold. For a while I wasn't really focussing on my business because I kept thinking well if I do get pregnant that'll disrupt everything but as it might take a while I don't want to leave it languishing so just getting on with it and hoping for the best on both counts

Brenna yes it will be! And mine too, I've decided so there Grin

I have decided this is the thread for Sticky Beans. I stupidly only asked for 9 BFPs on the last one. I am pretty sure we almost made that but hardly any of them stuck. This time I am being more specific and saying we want BFPs that last for 9 months, not 24 hours! It. Is. Decreed.

Glad you found the thread Brenna! When I saw the other one was closed to new messages I was a bit worried this new one would slip down the list on the fast moving Conception board and nobody would find it!

And yes lots of BFPs that deliver beautiful babies in 9 months time, you listening universe?! Shakes fist in direction of sky despite not believing in any deities or similar

Hi everyone.

I had an mmc nearly 8 weeks ago. I'm still bleeding a little so I don't think I'll be able to conceive any time soon but I need to be around ladies who understand!

HopefulKate1980 · 29/04/2016 17:41

Hi nailsathome I'm so sorry for your loss. Have you had a negative hpt?

Report
nailsathome · 29/04/2016 18:39

It was still positive about 3 weeks ago but I've not had a chance to test again. I'm going to do it in the morning.

I think I had my period 2 weeks ago because I had horrendous bleeding again but it's hard to say as the bleeding never stopped after the mmc.

Thanks insufficiently for starting our new thread, joining the positive thoughts that all our next pregnancies will be sticky ones.

nails that's a really long time to bleed continuously for, have you been given any explanation for it?

Happy bank holiday weekend everyone!

Report
nailsathome · 29/04/2016 19:28

No, no explanation. I had a scan a week after I naturally miscarried and it was all clear. They aren't interested in investigating because of that. I can't remember how long I bled for after my first mmc but I had an erpc then so it was different.

Thanks for starting it up again IC.

I am on Cd13 and we have had SIX times this week. That is more than we have ever had, even in our first honeymoon year!! I am sore, sorry TMI. But I am hoping the little sperms are making themselves comfortable tonight. Come on boys...

Happy bank holiday everyone! I am going to attempt to turn off from work, relax,, exercise, steer clear of booze and maybe have a bit more sex, if we can face it. Wish me luck!

When should I start to worry and see a Dr about potential fertility problems? As of May which is nearly here I'll have been TTC for a year. Obviously conceived once which ended in my mc. Will my dr see this as a new conception effort, ie I've only been trying since my mc in Jan and should give it longer or will the whole time be taken in to account and be offered tests?
Yes I am worrying about whether I should be worried, my anxiety has gone meta!

I'm not sure IC. A lot depends on what area you live in I think - I have low ovarian reserve but was told my area couldn't help me on the NHS. We've still got pregnant twice, but I think my MCs have been related to that... Not that anyone has ever said that. Infertility is like the Wild West of medicine - conflicting advice, lack of understanding, black holes of knowledge. Of course there are some amazing nurses and consultants but they don't truly understand infertility and miscarriage.

Report
InsufficientlyCaffeinated · 30/04/2016 10:08

It really is terrible how little research and understanding there is around infertility and miscarriage.
Considering this is DEFINITELY my month I probably needn't worry about it...
But just in case I'll see the dr if this cycle isn't a success, my next thyroid function test is due in June anyway so it'll be a good time to go once I have the latest results

Morning everyone. Hope you're all ok.

IC in my area they say if you've been trying for over a year you should contact your gp if you're under 35, 35 and over its 6 months. If you can prove you've been timing intercourse in the fertile window they rush you through a bit faster. Some Drs suggest temping to confirm ovulation and timing as well.

Just wanted to ask a quick af question, may be a bit tmi but does anyone else have to run to the toilet as soon as they get out of bed to stop flooding? I had to run to the toilet at 7am before it overflowed my pad and then again at 9. Yesterday I had to change my pad from mid-day every 1-2 hours. For day one it was extremely heavy and even heavier today.

HopefulKate1980 · 30/04/2016 10:19

I've never had that Amy no but since the MC, I've had to change tampons every hour on my first few days of AF. Make sure you are eating lots of iron! Hope you are ok.

Ha ha, It's DEFINTELY my month too IC. We are gonna nail it this month for sure... If not, im going to talk to my consultant about IVF.

I saw that *CheekychickSSS' posted on the old thread this morning saying she can't find us. Does anyone know how you direct message??

Kate if you're on the app you can't pm but you can on the browser version.

This af is ridiculous! My mum used to have flooding so bad it ruined her bedroom carpet and to the point she had to put a towel down on the floor. Maybe it's a genetic thing but I can't cope with this. I've got to work later and I can't spend all of my shift in the toilet! I can't use tampons have to wear a pad as well as cuz it floods through both and my mooncup just doesn't have the capacity either. On a plus note I don't have any period pains.

HopefulKate1980 · 30/04/2016 10:44

Very ignorant question but does the amount you bleed indicate quality of eggs? Surely lots of blood is a good sign?!

Report
InsufficientlyCaffeinated · 30/04/2016 10:49

Not sure about the amount of blood but I read that a longer period of about 5 days is a healthier sign than shorter. Mine are now 3 heavy days since mc.

My first couple of periods after mc I had an overflowing mooncup in the morning. Still having some overflowing during the day but this period I was OK first thing.

Have pm'ed Cheeky. Don't know how she managed to squeeze a last message on, I tried to link through but it said closed to new messages. Might be a mn blip in the system on different devices!
