I had a c section 3 months ago. The baby was stillborn and I am trying again. I have had regular periods ever since (my normal cycle of 31-35 days) but I have had red and pink spotting on and off in between my periods.
I know exactly when I ovulated. I should be 5 weeks and 1 day now so it's not possible that it's any earlier than this. Yesterday I had an ultrasound because of some red spotting that has been on/off for about 5 days and pain the middle of my back. The sonographer during an intravaginal ultrasound could not find anything in my womb, although he noted endometrial lining of 29.9mm thick (which is very thick).
The OBGYN in the epu took a urine pregnancy test and she said it was negative. My pee was very diluted. The strange thing is that with this pregnancy I get very dark tests if my pee is not diluted, but when I drink anything the line can disappear completely. With my last pregnancy they all looked the same, regardless of how concentrated my pee was. I find this very strange.
I went home and took another pregnancy test with undiluted pee and got a dark BFP. I took another with pee after drinking a glass of water and I got a very, very faint line.
An ectopic is suspected however the OBGYN thinks that I am likely just having a miscarriage. After the scan (it was vaginal) I bled heavier than before but it stopped. I am still spotting now but it has turned dark brown.
If I had an ectopic would they not be able to see this on the ultrasound by now? In my last pregnancy I spotted a little at 4 weeks and 6 days and they could locate a sac (in the right loaction) very quickly. I am very confused and I am panicking.
I am staying in Ireland at the moment, although I am not going to be here permanently. The healthcare system seems 20 years behind if you ask me.
