Hi everyone, hoping for some information from you knowledgable people Smile

I had a positive opk on Friday and dtd Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I have just begun temping this month and had a temperature rise Sunday morning. I want to know if the temperature rise indicates that I have now ovulated (Google gives mixed advice) and therefore done all I can this month for a bfp?

Also, ive seen people on here state how many days past ovulation they are and I just wondered how you pinpoint that exactly? Sorry if these are naive questions!

Hi, I can't help you with the temping as I don't do that yet
When you get a positive Opk you will ovulate approximately 12-36 hours after. So say you get a positive Opk on a Monday, the egg will hopefully be released Tuesday making Wednesday 1dpo 😊

Truth is no one knows how many days post ov they really are, it's just likely to be on that region +/- a day. As PP said, the egg is released up to 36 hours after a positive OPK, so yes, you've done all you can. It would be worth dtd a few days before expected ovulation next cycle as the sperm can wait but the egg won't. Also remember that OPKs only show that you have the hormone required to ovulate not that you definitely will.

Thanks very much for your responses, it definitely cleared a few things up.

I've found the whole temping thing quite tricky tbh. My readings always come out lower than they're 'supposed' to be, although I have seen my temperature rise after ovulation.
