Yet another 'no AF but BFN' post.

Just want somewhere to chat about it really! AF 2 days late - not wildly unusual but the last few months have been very regular - and not having any of the pre-menstrual symptoms I usually have...but equally not having any 'pregnancy' symptoms. I tested FMU yesterday and today and both BFN. Anyone else in the same boat at the moment?

This is my first post on here. I have just joined because i'm going out of my mind. I'm on cd36, usually a 28-30 day cycle. They've been slightly irregular over the past 9 months (had my mirena coil removed last May due to an ovarian cyst that is still ongoing), but last 5 have been quite consistent. I've tested every FMU since AF was due but all BFN. I have been feeling funny little twinges and thought I was coming on. No breast pain, which i usually get when i'm due on, nausea on and off. I feel like i might be just hyper aware of any symptom, i'm googling everything and getting way too excited over other people saying they had this symptom or that and late BFP's. One other thing is that i started using a Clearblue Fertility Monitor last month. The first month it showed no 'peak' days, which i hear is common when it's getting to know your cycle so i'm not too concerned. Sorry for the long post.... just felt the need to vent.

That sounds so frustrating! What kinds of tests are you using? I've just been using internet cheapie but if I don't get a result either way within a week I might try a FRER?

Hi HeyHey, thank you! I've been stalking everyone else's feeds so I thought I should join in! I've been using cheap ones, apart from FRER that I used on Monday, 5 days after AF was due. It's really frustrating. I feel like I'm jinxing myself every time I think a BFP is a possibility. I'm going to try another FRER at the weekend if nothing else happens.

I know what you mean...I'll read one thread where the poster turned out to be pregnant, then another where the poster just had a very late AF or skipped one entirely...there seems no rhyme or reason to it! Drives you mad!

I'm in the same boat but AF is seventeen days late. BFN on Sunday morning though so I'll retest in the next couple of days. Not TTC at all and I have been very stressed recently & low carbing so who knows what's going on!

I'm on cd46. Usually a 30ish day cycle. Pretty sure I ovd at about day 37 though so still too early for bfp/af if that's the case. It's boring and annoying!!!!

It's bizarre, sometimes I forget about it and then I remember and get all panicky. I honestly felt very relieved when I saw the BFN on the weekend and assumed AF would arrive this week. I don't even know what I want but the not knowing for sure is torturous!

It's just a horrible limbo. Not knowing either way.... I'd love to be pregnant but if I'm not then why is it delayed? It's so hard not to stress about this sort of thing.

Exactly ginger if I knew I was then I could start planning/coming to terms with it and if I'm not then I'd quite like to know why after having regular periods since puberty!

Yeah I know. I went to the doctors the other day for something related. I mentioned the no period thing, she said you are possibly pregnant but too soon to tell. Do another test later in the week. But she wasn't bothered. I don't think they realise how strange it can feel to not have a regular period. You just want to feel normal. It's very scary when your reproductive health is in question.

I know Heyhey. I think it's because I'm still bfing my dd. It's only my second cycle after having her and the first was a bog standard 30 days!

I did another test this evening and had another BFN
Is there anything medically dangerous that makes you skip a period? Or have it very late? If I'm not PG I don't know if it's worth bothering my GP!

I'm not sure Pata...I know stress can be a big one. I think maybe see your GP if you skip the next one too?

It's perfectly normal for us to, occasionally, (or, in my case, 2 months out of 3 when I had d21 bloods taken over 5 months between January and May last year) have anovulatory cycles and, without the egg release, other hormones aren't triggered so we can miss a period. We can also ovulate later in a cycle which delays everything.

Yes, I'm in the same boat. I had a test a Monday night with what I thought was a v v faint line but there was nothing when I POAS on Tues & Weds & Thurs. AF is now 2 days late and I've had another mega-faint line this morning. It doesn't make any sense at all!

Underrug I can definitely see that line! Have you tried a digital?

Still only a shadow of a line this morning and AF is 3 days late now. Line definitely hasn't got darker over the last 24 hours. This is ridiculous.

No sign of a line at all here under but no AF either. Beginning to think I just didn't ovulate this month

Morning ladies! Nothing here either. Not even a shadow. This is so frustrating.
Under, what level of HCG do those test at? I think if they're 20-25 then maybe try a first response, might have a darker line then.
