Thanks for the new bus Boris Hope the scans go well and you'll be flying out next week. It must all feel a bit surreal..FX that everything goes well for you.

Dizzy sorry about AF. I hope there will be lots of dtd this month for you!!

Thanks for your HSG stories - I do appreciate your honesty. I can't say I'm looking forward to it but know it needs to be done so will organise it for next month.

Sammy sorry about AF but good luck with the IVF!

Hooray for your appointment Magpie That sounded really useful, and while obviously I'm sorry about the PCOS diagnosis, at least you have a diagnosis and drugs to help! I hope the scan goes well for you.

Hope you're feeling better Kellz?

Can I join the bus please? I'm going slightly nuts over thinking things. Took a first response on Wednesday, when I was due but it was negative. Still no sign of AF, I've had some normal AF symptoms and unusual waves of nausea the last couple of days. My stomach is also blown up like a ballon which is a normal endometriosis sign that AF is on her way.

DH wants me to hold out until the weekend because of how iregular my cycle can be.

Hi bird and welcome. Hope AF stays away for you.

Ghengis - I had a hycosy rather than hsg but I think they're pretty similar. I can't say it was the nicest experience ever, there were waves of what felt like strong period pains, but it was over fairly quickly. The worst bit for me was that my blood pressure crashed afterwards (can apparently happen after they have touched the cervix) and so I felt all hot and sick. They were ready for it though, and again it only lasted a few minutes.

You will be fine. Take your own sanitary towel for afterwards as the ones they provide are usually ginormous! This is to catch the dye, and any spotting you may have. Xx

Thank you for the welcome ladies.

This is cycle #3. I still haven't seen anyone about how or if my endometriosis effects my fertility so I feel really hard to stay positive that something will happen.

I also just tested first thing this morning and got another bfn. So I'm just waiting for AF now.

MagpieCursedTea · 25/02/2016 08:52

Genghis thanks lovely, hope you get your HSG appointment sorted soon.

Birdboo welcome! Sorry for the bfn. If I was in your position, I'd go have a chat with the GP about TTC to see if there's any help they can give you as you're already diagnosed with endo.

Waves to everyone else. Hope you all have a lovely day.
My norethisterone withdrawal bleed started last night and have just taken my first metformin today. I'm also looking into low GI diets as I've read that it can help PCOS.

Hi everyone. Thanks for the new bus.

AF is due tomorrow. No signs that she won't turn up and after only DTD once during the relevant time, I am resigned to it. But, I have all kinds of things planned for next cycle.

MagpieCursedTea · 25/02/2016 09:09

Hopefully AF will stay away fuzzy and you won't need them, but what are your plans?

Report
birdboo · 25/02/2016 09:45

Fingers crossed for you fuzzy.

Unfortunately my Drs have been pretty useless with our ttc. I've already been in tears after seeing one dr who told me that they didn't even understand why I was asking as we hadn't given nature time!

Sorry to hear you have unsympathetic doctors birdboo and I hope you can find a good one.

Magpie evening primrose oil, acupuncture, Chinese herbs, Clearblue OPKs, IC OPKs and pregnacare. Both times before that I have got pregnant, I used the Chinese herbs.

Genghis im feeling a bit better thanks.

Ladies im looking for advice. I know the CB monitor can be inaccurate so im not worried about that, but a few days ago my temp dropped right down, i was getting pains in my left side, quite a bit of ewcm. I bought some boots opks, had a dark one on tuesday night, and yesterday morning. Did one last night and it was darker again, but just lighter than the control line. My temperature has started rising again - waiting til tomorrow to see if i get my 3rd rise. Is it possible that yesterday could have been positive opks. In all the cycles ive had i have never had exact same colour of lines, always slightly lighter, i have read up that this can happen as my regular level of LH is slightly less so should use more sensitive opks.
Just worrying because ive never not ovulated and ive been getting all the symptoms.

Sorry for the wee novel haha

xxx

Yes Kellz. Some women have a really short lh surge so you might have just missed it or a positive for you might be lighter than other women. Whatever your bbt is, will be far more reliable than OPKs.

I feel really bad about my earlier posts now as I have just tested and got a BFP. Scared now as I don't have a good track record with babies sticking but am going to be optimistic about this one.

I really really hope I see all of you have your BFPs and babies soon. Good luck everyone.

Lucie, am I right in thinking you are having more treatment this week? Am thinking of you.

Kellz92 · 25/02/2016 10:44

Im hoping so, if this month isnt for us then i think im going to stop trying for a while as i dont feel like ill ever get my bfp.

Fuzzy, that's brilliant news. Keeping my fingers crossed for a sticky one for you! Yes I am due to start NHS treatment next week. Af is due to arrive on Saturday and then I can get going. Will let you know if I ever get that elusive bfp!

DizzyMerry · 25/02/2016 11:16

Congratulations fuzzy!!! We really needed a bfp on here and what a great start to the new bus.
Hopefully it will be full of bfps. Fx for a super sticky bean.

Kellz opks always confuse me! As fuzzy
says some of us have a very short surge or it could be a positive for you. Hopefully your temps will confirm ov. Your time will come and I know how hard it is to keep going when we can't see an end to our ttc journey but it will happen we just need to keep on trying Flowers

Fuzzy!! That's fantastic news, so happy for you. Just goes to show it only takes the once! Thanks

Lucie all the best for your treatment.

Kellz you'll get there, though I understanding wanting to take a break. As others have said it can be easy to miss the surge so trust those temps over the OPKs.

Bird so sorry that your doctors have been rubbish. Is there anyone else at your surgery you can see? Or even switching surgeries? I've found there's a massive difference in the support and treatments you get if you see the right doctor.

My AF cramps are awful, so I got some feminax max strength from the pharmacy. I used to take it years ago and found it helpful. I read the leaflet though and it says not to take it without speaking to your doctor if you're TTC or struggling TTC. Anyone know why? I'm scared to take it now!

Report
DizzyMerry · 25/02/2016 12:16

Sorry missed your post birdboo. Welcome Smile I think you're right to be concerned about ttc with endo. I had endo so severe that I feel we wasted about 2 years ttc without knowing I had it and it had stuck to my tubes so they were shut.
Can you go back to your GP to have another chat and maybe ask for some diagnostic checks?

Report
DizzyMerry · 25/02/2016 12:22

Sorry for the awful AF cramps magpie and not sure about the feminax. Have you tried taking any other painkillers? I found a hot water bottle used to help. Hope the cramps ease off. I'm on cd2 and the blood is just gushing out of me Sad but on the upside it's all relatively painless.

I'm at the blood gushing stage too (also CD2) Sad
I had some co-codemol which has taken the edge off the cramps a bit but I've still got a painful heavy feeling that isn't shifting. Who the hell invented periods?!

Report
DizzyMerry · 25/02/2016 15:12

It's all very cruel isn't it? Not only is there an absence of a bfp but we have to put up with awful periods just to remind us that we actually didn't get what we wanted! That's how I feel right now anyway Sad Hopefully it'll pass soon and I have a cycle buddy. I last had a buddy in night and mummy and they went on to get their bfps so hopefully I'll score a hat trick and it'll be you next. Though I do hope we go off to bfp land hand in hand!!!
