Extra line on test. What does it mean?

I took a superdrug early pregnancy test yesterday. Instructions say a vertical line in each window is a positive result.

I got a clear vertical line in the control window, no vertical line in the test window. But within the 1 minute there was also a horizontal line through both.

I took another test this morning. Same thing, horizontal line through both windows. Maybe a little darker this time, maybe I am imagining it.

AF is due in 2 days. Help! What does this mean?

Probably evap lines. Id read it as a BFN for now, and buy a different brand to test again in a couple of days time.

Faulty test, or at least one you cannot trust to be accurate.

I though faulty test too, until the exact same thing happened the next day. I guess it was a faulty batch.

Thanks everyone! I will go and buy another brand.
