Thread 8, TTC #1. Change my FW one more time Ovia, I dare you! TMI Warning throughout.

Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 8 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome. Although normal conversation is also encouraged.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat a resident piss stick queen runner loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

StarkyTheDirewolf Tue 26-Jan-16 14:16:12

Starky, cycle 2, cd 13 (37/41) plan to dtd every other day all month, 1 opk a day. No symptoms to spot and am aiming to not spot symptoms on purpose. Ovia is more of guide than an Oracle this month. Only entering af and moods, not charting cm, not entering opk, no rooting for my cervix! Feeling happy, chirpy and positive! Except full of the mogga today!

Chocaholic88 Tue 26-Jan-16 14:28:47

Choc, officially upduffed but refusing to get off the bus... currently having bets placed on how far gone I am, whilst I sit feeling tired and nauseous...

Welcome everyone 😁😁

Kat ... super duper list maker wonder woman. Has recruited Kath as second in command for actual-list analysis, as she's just let on she's only a bloody accountant.

am suddenly imagining all sorts of spreadsheets that we could compile of name, age, TTC#, cycle#, test date/AF due date, and then all of the more proper stats analysis we may be able to do on that data

Think I'm about 5/6 DPO but not due to test until 7 Feb.

Kat, don't tempt me! There is literally nothing I like better than a good spreadsheet. I have a whole folder of TTC-related spreadsheets that I've made for myself when bored.

Testing 29th...ish.

Full of fart, sore boobs, stabbing pains in the uterus/ovary/female baby making parts and the occasional leaky nipple with more than normal sticky glue cm

Jumping on the opk bandwagon to get more of a handle of what's going on. Originally tried for a chilled and nonchalant attitude. This went out the window in record time. Sending lots of luck into the ether for those testing soon.

Chocaholic88 Tue 26-Jan-16 15:00:32

Your symptoms sound cough familiar miley

Loving the honesty eud in fairness I was skeptical about the cheapie I did yesterday but it turned out to be right!

Lol we all try to play it cool for the first day

Due to test: fuck knows, they keep moving it. But I keep getting bfns including today, so we'll assume end of Feb now.

Currently one big ball of cramps, with spotting.

I'm now on my third week signed off after orthopaedic surgery, and generally fed up and emotional and panicking about how much marking I'll have next week

Kathrino Tue 26-Jan-16 15:06:34

I just ordered some OPKs for next month Planeteer too, not at all to try and jinx my body into giving me a BFP this month. I can't believe that I ever thought that I'd be relaxed about this whole process. I only wish that I'd started POAS years before we decided to start TTC so I knew what my cycles were like rather than trying to spend all my time staring at cervical mucus and trying to work out what it might or might not mean.

Just waiting for af to bugger off so I can prune the lady garden and make it all pretty for fertile week.
I apparently can't do chilled and nonchalant if my life depended on it so I'm going to find a quiet corner and rock back and forth in between jumping the dh and waiting for af to inevitably rock up again in about 3 weeks.

No tests in the house so No early testing for me 😇 slap me in a few days time if I suggest going to buy one

Just had a conversation with the travel insurance bods. Great news, I don't need to tell them if I were up duffed. If I were to travel at a viable gestational age (sorry, hcp coming out in me) and were to deliver abroad, bubs would automatically be covered by the policy. Had a long chat with a friend who talked me through her pregnancy travel too so I think we'll be booking that holiday later.

Planeteer Tue 26-Jan-16 15:12:27

Yes kathrino!! So with you there. Would like to have words with past self who thought 6 months would be enough time to get regularish post pill. So far 1 measly AF. Here's to opk confusion and bogglement wisdom for us both.

Eudaemonia Tue 26-Jan-16 15:20:23

Kathrino I have a whole new box of OPKs too. I'm hoping I don't have to open them, but it's a lot better to have a wasted pile of OPKs than to having to go out and get some more when AF arrives.

ImpYCelyn Tue 26-Jan-16 15:32:11

I'm such a twat. When dh okayed ttc I was so excited and I started looking through all the old boys' stuff working out what we still have and what we'd need... And now I'm looking at them crying. Not because I don't think it'll ever happen, but just because I'm emosh and want it so much... Twat!

Mileymoocow Tue 26-Jan-16 15:36:12

Lol snow at prune the lady garden!

choc I wish I was copying your symptoms had had the same outcome! I'm still over the moon you have answers.

I'm an emo wreck today and I need a good slap. Someone slap hug me.

Mileymoocow Tue 26-Jan-16 15:37:14

imoy come, let's us be irrationally hormonal and ott emotional together.

Mileymoocow Tue 26-Jan-16 15:37:45

impy, even. Imoy can come too whoever the fuck that is.

Chocaholic88 Tue 26-Jan-16 15:42:42

Sending you hugs impy ... like I said, I cried overout car rubbing his head on my foot this morning because 'he loves me' ... dear god!

Fingers crossed miley ... when are you testing??

ImpYCelyn Tue 26-Jan-16 15:47:27

Aw Miley sorry you're a wreck too! Here's a slap hug thanks

It's rubbish isn't it. You're def not out yet though! Fx!

And some for you too Choc thanks

Mileymoocow Tue 26-Jan-16 15:48:23

29th according to Ovia, 2nd according to predicted af! choc it is defs ok to cry over animals and other people's kids being nice. And because your OH says he's making tea because I need a rest. And because I've lost no weight this week and then knowing that it's because you ate all da cake and you feel guilty
