just looking for any advice re: ttc #2

Hi, I'm a new user and I just wanted to ask for some general advice about what to do next or any anecdotes that people may have. I have one dc (20 months) and I haven't been actively trying for #2 since July 2015, but I haven't been using protection. Having said that, my husband was quite tired from work, so sometimes it only happened a couple of times a month! However, in the last two months, we've put our minds to it a bit more and I got the ovia app and we've been dtd more. Nothing has happened pregnancy wise. At the same time, I've been having some problems with my periods. I've always had fairly painful ones, but it feels like since my caesarian, they've been particularly bad. It's lead me to wonder if I have endo or fibroids. Two months ago I passed quite a large black clot. The period just gone, at the end of the period I had pain so bad that I thought I would have to go to the hospital. I was curled up in a ball unable to move. The following day I passed some black goop in my period blood. Obviously, I'm wondering if this is affecting things. I'm due to have an ultrasound in a few weeks to see what is happening. I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice or thoughts although I know no one has a crystal ball! I'm going to be 35 next week. I have to apologise as I know there are lots of ladies ttc number 1 and in the grand scheme of things, I don't have the worst problem in the world. I could definitely live with having just one dc, I would just love to have another one.
