Hello,
I was advised to start my own thread after hijacking someone else's... Sorry!
I am TTC #1, Cycle 3, CD 31, AF due today.
Took this test today- boots cheapie.
I can see a very faint line but am I imagining it??
If I do a FRER, which do you recommend?
Thanks in advance!! Xx

Is this a BFP? Thanks!

Looks more like the indentation line. Buy a better brand!

What's an indentation line?? Do you recommend any brands in particular? Thanks!

I can see a very faint line. Did it come up in the test time frame? If not it may be an evaporation line. It may be that you have to wait another day or two to re-test. Maybe try a First Response test tomorrow or Wednesday?

I'll do another test tomorrow, is there a brand of first response which is better than the others?

Thanks HumTiddlyTum!
I'll buy a proper one and check again in a couple of days.
Who am I kidding? I'll definitely end up POAS tomorrow morning too I'm sure!!

Let us know how you get on! I agree, FRER are best - First Response Early Result. Fwiw I reckon that's positive, mine looked like that on the cheapy sticks (and took AGES to get a proper line, well after AF was due) and I'm 12 weeks on Friday Smile

Thanks GlenCoco (great name btw)!
I'll do a proper one tomorrow- the best they had in the shop was clear blue digital so fingers crossed!
Still no sign of AF and usually pretty regular so getting hopeful... Always dangerous when it comes to TTC I've discovered...

Clear blue digital this morning showed not pregnant Sad

Oh well, I guess I should just sit back and wait for AF! I'll retest in a couple of days if nothing is happening.
Thanks for your replies everyone!

Clear blue digital notoriously don't show up early pregnancy. You want a pink dye test preferably FRER or superdrugs own extra sensitive. Gal for tomorrow.

CB digital are very low sensitivity tests - think 25iu/ml whereas many ic are 10iu/ml and FRER are 12.5iu/ml.

At the risk of getting your hopes up, I can see that line. I pissed on a stupid number of sticks this pregnancy (cheapos, like that one) and never managed to generate an evap line, or saw an indentation mark. And I deliberately started too soon.

I did get a proper squinter like that. I knew I was risking identifying a chemical pregnancy that I would otherwise not have known about, but was lucky this time! (30 weeks tomorrow!)

It's waaaay to early for a CB digi. Wait till several days past a missed period for that. But try another cheapy or first response tomorrow if you want (though know that it is super early).

Good luck!!!

Thanks indomitable, I naively thought all these tests would work straight away after the period is missed...
I did a SuperDrug own early response test today- BFN but still no sign of AF.
I'll wait a few more days I think and if no AF I'll do a FRER.
Fx!

Thanks indomitable I had a bit of a wobble this evening but am fine with it- we've not been trying long and I have faith it'll happen- just means we need to DTD a bit more which sounds good to me!
Fingers crossed for more luck next month...
