Confused

So my story is that my partner and I tried for a baby and after 3 months conceived. We went for an early dating scam and everything looked great. We told family and friends however when we went for another scan at 13.5 weeks and they took the measurements of our babies neck we discovered that there was something seriously wrong. At 17 weeks I had a medical termination due to fetal abnormalities. 20th October 2015 our beautiful sleeping daughter Hope was born. 2 weeks later I went back into hospital as I had severe dragging and needed an emergency d&c to close my womb and take away anything remaining from the birth.
I then had a period a normal period on 23rd November which latest 5-7 days bit heavier than normal but that was to be expected.
My partner and then tried to conceive when ovulation and on 12th December I woke up to wet fresh blood and dripping on the toilet. I thought this could be implantation bleeding but then when reading into it I realised this was too heavy? I only bled for a day though and then nothing. Period was due 22nd going by my normal cycles before pregnancy with Hope. Nothing came on 22nd and today 02/01/16 I still have not had a period.
Do you think the bleed on 12/12 could have been an early miscarriage and my body will take a few more weeks to have a period or do you think the 12/12 bleed was implantation.... I've done 3 tests and all negative?! Please help!

Not sure I'm the best placed person to give advice but needed to reply to say your story sounds harrowing and sorry for what you've been through. My thought would be that you could go to your GP and ask for a blood test to check HCG levels to get more certainty on it? That or try a first response one on FMU or wait a few days and try again if no period?

I'm sorry about your loss. I had a miscarriage about 6 weeks ago, then got my period 3 weeks later (I was always 28 days before the m/c). Then last week (which is 2 weeks after my period) I had another bleed. I also thought it might've been due to ovulation but, like yours, it was too heavy (but not heavy enough for a period). The bleeding lasted 6 days. I went to see my gp and have now been referred for a scan to make sure everything is ok. The gp didn't seem concerned at all, said it happens quite of item after a m/c and it's just your hormones trying to get back to normal and that could take a while. It's very frustrating but I don't think there is much we can do but wait. HTH.

Yes I don't think it is a pregnancy because I haven't had any systems and with my last 2 pregnancies I have KNOWN I was pregnant before even taking the test! I'm going to book an appointment to see doctor this week to see if they can do blood test/scan! Thanks xxx

I am sorry to both of you for your loss.

I am responding because the same thing happened to me following a natural MC. I booked myself back into EPAU - it may bring worth giving them a ring as I was able to get a scan and see the doctor within 2 days. I was given a course of tablets for 3 weeks followed by withdrawal bleed. I am now on CD16 and praying it's worked as it's been 3 months since my MC and we're desperate to try again.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you both with your appointment and scan.


Perhaps we could buddy up on this thread as I haven't seen anyone else here who has had this.
