Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain anything but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

And our most recent thread here -

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2480630-So-its-John-Wayne-vs-Les-Dawson-in-The-Great-British-Pee-Off-and-Prtys-judging-get-ready-to-be-basted-lovelies?pg=1&order=

We are symptoms spotters extraordinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

Hi poppy thanks - it gets harder every time to think if something, especially since I only ever expected one or two responses to my original post all those months ago!

Howdy! Thanks for the warm welcome. Hopefully this will be a fairly quick 2WW, thanks to Christmas festivities. Just finished the last of my xmas shopping today in fact (manic out there...don't do it to yourselves!).

Prty I'm glad to have a buddy to hand hold! Have you planned your non-alcohol excuses yet? Love the title btw Grin

When's everybody else's next AF due?

PrtyPsn · 20/12/2015 16:38

pantz I quit drinking in March so I've perfected the excuses - feeling sick, headache, still a little drunk from last night, having a horrible period and of course just pretending I am drinking (lemonade can so easily be 'vodka' and lemonade, just don't let people sniff it!) over Christmas I'm driving a lot to see all friends and family plus working too so think I can get away with it!

On on tww now as well temps are staying up for now and no obvious symptoms either way so will wait and see it's only day 18 of cycle though had my positive ovulation test on day 12 of cycle,

Yeah, I think it's going to be much easier to switch my drinks than it is to make my excuses. I'm shit at lying, and unfortunately I never turn down a drink with my family! So dark red Shloer on the sly it is then!! Let's just hope all the hassle will be worth it, eh...

There's always Becks Blue pantz I'd also recommend enlisting OH as a partner in crime to deflect questions or suspicions by getting drinks for you or changing the subject

Yippee to a new thread for me to stalk. Poppy, hope you get answers soon. Prty - aww I'm pleased you remembered me, I'm fine thanks however (warning - baby bomb type thing coming up), I got the shock of my life at first scan as was told I'm expecting twins! It was a HUGE shock but we have got use to the idea now. Sorry if I'm coming across as insensitive, please don't see me as complaining as I'm not, I feel v blessed (but shocked). Am keeping my fingers crossed for all you lovely ladies to get your bfps soon but in the mean time.. Enjoy the booze, blue cheese and pate over Christmas before you'll be banned from such yumness xx

Wow twins! Congrats!

Ugh baby bomb from a pal, 2nd child. Came off the pill a week before wedding...conceived on honeymoon. HOW?? I mean I know it's obviously possible. FFS it took me over a year for AF to return then 6 months for it to regulate.

I really need to be able to be happy for friends, don't I. Rant over.

Boobies starting to get a little tender which is a good sign that I've Ov'd. Have had a couple of an-ovs where I've had no pms symptoms and a super light AF, and thought it was happening again this cycle.

pantz we've all been there, it's hard to be happy for them when you're struggling so much, doesn't make you a bad person x
Think I'm imagining my sore boobs or the constant prodding is making them sore!!

Hi everyone. Marking my place on the new thread, excellent title prty.
Congratulations on the news of twins lou
baggy - don't feel bad, I'm finding it impossible to be happy when there are baby bombs - I know that makes me a bitch but I'm sick and tired of it not happening for us and yet it happens for every other person we know.
Fingers crossed for some bfps soon here, I would love to join in the positivity but I'm struggling to be positive myself at the moment. I've decided not to bother temping this month and try to switch off from thoughts of ttc, I'm tired and fed up, getting that positive test to turn to nothing has really knocked it out of me. Thanks for all your lovely comments - I feel like such an idiot though for getting so excited

Report
PrtyPsn · 21/12/2015 20:08

kitten it's perfectly normal to see a line and get excited - it's what we are aiming for and every one of us would do the same. I think a more relaxed month might do you good :)

Wow twins!! Congrats Lou.

I am so excited for Christmas now ... but I've got toothache - it's not too bad at the mo and luckily I have managed to get an appointment at the dentists for Christmas Eve so I'm hoping it's not going to ruin my time off!

Think AF is due around the 28th, although that's a total guess to be honest. Think I have ovulated though because I feel like the hormones have changed if you know what I mean?!

BaggyPantz · 21/12/2015 20:32

pirsy I totally know what you mean. Amazing how in tune with our bodies we become once TTC. I'm pretty certain 'the switch' happens almost instantaneously: hair up, makeup off, pjs on, food in, sexiness out!

I even told OH at the end of my fertile window "you're off the hook now!" So romantic...

prty and pirsy Fxd you both get BFP's to celebrate before the new year!

Congrats lou fab news!! Xmas Grin

After phoning the docs this morning and them not having my scan results, then having a major strop about it.. They phoned me back and said they'd now got them and asked me to book in to discuss. The next prebookable appointment is 5th January! Although they have told me to ring everyday and see if I can get one on the day...

Report
Pirsy1 · 22/12/2015 07:48

That is progress poppy ... the 5th Jan isn't too too far away even if you have to wait until then and the time will go quickly with Christmas and NY.

I am not holding out too much hope this month, I was too optimistic last month and it was hard to deal with when I wasn't pregnant. I will definitely be having a glass of champagne at Christmas.

Morning, looks like we will all be testing around the same time, af due on 29th ish. This time last month my temp dipped big time but it's stayed up at 36.7 today so pleased about that. Have a slight sicky feeling but not reading too much into it, has slight indigestion in the night too. Day 20 of cycle today and 7dpo.

Managed to get an appointment at the doctors and they are referring my to a gynaecologist but think I have PCOS. Feel relieved I know what's going on but still anxious.. Anyone else have this or know much about it?

Poppy I have PCOS. It is very very common. It can cause problems with ovulation and many women don't know they have it until they stop taking hormonal contraception and find they are not having periods very often. If you are overweight they will ask you to lose weight as sometimes that can restore ovulation, but if your BMI is normal then you don't need to do this, and lots of slim women have PCOS. Don't worry too much there are medications that they can give to induce ovulation and lots of women with PCOS have babies.

Twins!! Congratulations Lou!!

Poppy I was referred to a gynaecologist to test for PCOS too, my next appointment was due to be a internal scan to diagnose it but I got my BFP so it's been cancelled. I'm convinced I've got PCOS but I'm not sure what will happen now about diagnosing it. I does go to show though that even with irregular cycles (my last one was 55 days) a BFP is still possible. Wishing you lots of luck xx
