Hi

Bit shocked. Have just done a First response Pregnancy Test at 28 Days (cycle usually 28 but last month was 30. and it was a BFP!!Wasn't going to test but had one at home so thought I might as well!

This is after 18 months of TTC so can't quite believe it.

Can it be a false Positive???

As far as I know, you can't get a false positive on any home pregnancy test.

Congratulations!

Can't see how it can be a false positive - it detects hcg, which you only produce if you're pregnant. Well, I suppose if the test is really out of date, it might produce funny lines. Otherwise - congrats!

I don't think a false postive is likely either, it's just we've had all sorts of problems TTC and if you search for long enough on the internet you can find all sorts of false positive stories!

But- I guess it's no wine this Friday night!

There are no false positives! Congratulations jem! I've been trying for 18months too, so you give me hope that I might too see that magic line! Enjoy your wine-free evening x

Thanks 'Elf'

I've been reading this website for so long and the only thing I've ever posted was a question about IUI v IVF!

In a few days, when I feel bit more confident I'll write about the things we've done in the last few months (mainly grapefruit juice, acupuncture and holiday!)...
