Clearblue positive test, no period, but now negative results

Ladies please help. I'm a first timer, TTC for baby #1 and on our second month.

Took a Clear Blue digital test 7 dpo & 2 days before earliest period is normally due (I have short cycles (normally 25-27 days)), which came out 'pregnant 1-2 wks'. We were over the moon. Today I should be 3 weeks + 6 days.

I took a more manual old school test this morning (5 days after CB positive test), with first morning wee and it was negative. I then tried another CB digital test (same one I got the positive from - and note that I pee'd in a cup - so this was the same wee as the manaual test) and this test showed 'not pregnant'.

If I wasn't pregnant I would be on day 28 of my cycle. But I have been spotting since a week after ovulation and that's why I decided to take an early test because I thought it was implantation bleeding. When I say bleeding it's only brown and very small quantify when I wipe, mixed with normal creamish discharge at times (sorry for TMI !!).

I went to the doctor last week and told her I had a positibe test and about the brown/cream spotting and she said this was normal and to come back in due course for scans.

Now I'm distraught. Is this an early miscarriage (without any sign of red blood loss or period or any pains), or could I still be pregnant but HCG levels are fluctuating???

I'd love some advice from you wonderful gurus before I lose the plot. Thanks

It's really difficult but it could go either way really at such an early stage. If the egg implant but doesn't develop properly then it will be lost and period will eventually follow, I think people call it a chemical pregnancy?
But equally it could just be that your wee was a bit more dilute or something. I was 8 days late before I got a positive with my son, the levels are still really low at this point.
I hope it comes good. For you, time will tell

Rubberduck2 and Seeyalater thanks so much for your replies and lovely words, I really appreciated it. And apologies for the slow reply, but despite the blip I owe it to the community to say what happened in case others are searching for the same thing.......
It was a chemical pregnancy because my AF came later that evening that I posted, but albeit late.
It was a dreary day, but I am taking the positive out of this and at least me and my husband know that we can get pregnant in the first place.... So I'm back in the game and currently waiting for round 3 and hopefully 3rd time lucky and all that (2 DPO).
Fingers crossed!!! I have a really good feeling about this month though!
