Conception

Is it possible that I am pregnant?

Last week my boyfriend and I had sex using the pull-out method. My boyfriend swears that he did not ejaculate inside of me at all, but I was wondering what the possibility of becoming pregnant through pre-ejaculate is? I wouldn't be concerned except for the last two days I have had some slight cramping, tender and full breast and have felt sick to my stomach, as well as having a constant headache (not sure if this is anything). I used an ovulation calculator tonight and found that I most likely started ovulating on the day we had sex last week. I could be reading into this too much but thought i would reach out for advice. Am I being silly?

Your post is evidence why we need mandatory sex education in schools.

The 'pull out' method is not a reliable method to prevent conception. Men can release sperm before the main ejaculation 'event'. As you had unprotected sex there is a chance you may be pregnant. Worth taking a pregnancy test 2 weeks after you had unprotected sex if your period has not arrived.

I highly recommend www.fpa.org.uk/help-and-advice/contraception-help to learn about the different methods of contraception which are available to you.

You had unprotected sex! Of course you might be pregnant!
