When the only stick you have is an OPK....

So I just did an OPK at 11dpo because, you know, I told myself no sticks until after period due.

There's quite a strong line! Don't know whether to test or not. I have never been pregnant in the past when I tested early!!!

It was 3 days of positive OPK that picked up my pregnancy with DD2.
I had no idea what I was doing but thought I'd give them a try after 6 months of no periods after coming off the pill to TTC. At first thrilled that might be ovulating so stood a chance of conceiving only for it to remain +ve and then a +ve pregnancy test.
I'd be tempted to test but understand your rule to wait until AF overdue.

I'm going to say it could go either way as I have had positive opks before my period lots of times. Good luck when you get an hpt.

And yes, sebsmummy you are definitely right. I know you can't use OPK as preg test really just so tempting when in cupboard ;) !!

I will almost definitely end up testing, let's face it. I'll update if I do :)

When I was TTC I POA-Opk for no other reason than I had some in the house and was curious as to how they worked.

I got a really strong positive and went into a right tizz as to why my stupid body was ovulating when my period was due.

I posted on MN to ask for advice so if anyone else had experienced late ovulation and somebody replied saying "errrr Writer, OPK's can detect the pregnancy hormone!!"

I was like WTH ??!!

I fast legged it to the nearest newsagents to buy myself two HPTs and got two BFPs

Thanks all :) my friend also found out she was pregnant using an OPK so my discovery was not quite so innocent as yours writer or endoflevel
