Hi all, I have just come off the pill to try for our first baby. I finished my last bleed recently on 14th July and since then have been unprotected. I said I was going to be calm about it and see what happened, and its far too early for anything to have happened already, but I'm starting to question this....my husband and I DTD early yesterday morning.....carried on with my day as normal....mid afternoon though I started with a dull ache in my lower tummy, where you would get a period pain. It isnt painful but you can tell theres a slight ache. I dont know if this is normal and its just my system down there starting up naturally again or if its something bad? Im feeling slightly clueless? I've been on google and not got very far with it other than scaring myself! Anyone got any words of wisdom?

It could be ovulation pains.

Hi there! I got those types of pains about two weeks after stopping the pill. I never got a period but five weeks after stopping the pill I got a positive pregnancy test so I think the pains were due to ovulation!

I was very lucky but also very surprised! Still waiting for first scan to check all ok :-/
I think headaches are a usual symptom of coming off the pill? I used to get awful headaches during the 7 pill free days. I think all the other aches and pains are also very normal, just your body adjusting to a new hormone level! How long were you on the pill for?

Ohh hopefully everything will be ok! whens your scan? yeah i agree, i used to get terrible headaches when i came off my pill for my break so all of this is probably just hormones :-/ i was on the pill for about 9 years, started off on microgynon which i was on for the majority of the 9 years but more recently had been on the yasmin pill.

Scan is a week today....Am very nervous! It happened so quickly I'm not even sure how many weeks I am!
I wonder if different pills have different types of withdrawal symptoms? I really think you'll feel beetter soon once your body gets used to being off the pill. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for your positive! :-)

oh wow not long then! fingers and toes crossed for a normal healthy scan :) Ive come to the conclusion that my cramps etc are all normal and its just my poor old body getting back to normal :) so gonna try and relax about it as much as i can and keep hoping that we can fall pregnant soon.

I had all sorts of weird symptoms after coming off the pill - headaches, nausea, loss of appetite, feeling exhausted etc.

Think it does take its toll whilst your body gets back to 'normal'.

Not too bad thank you! Cramps seem to be dying off a little. I think for the first time in my life Im looking forward to a visit from AF, at least then I will know my body is getting back to normal haha! good luck with your baby making :)

Hi I'm new to this so sorry if putting this in the wrong place, but I'm feeling concerned.
I'm ttc and have been for 2months now, my period is always 30days not early not late. However this month I started bleeding 5 days early, tender breasts before hand but stopped once I started bleeding. I'm always heavy but this was lighter, still had to use tampons but not much on then. It lasted 4 days I had no cramping and normally I am in a fair bit of pain. I went to the doctors yesterday, as also had the odd stopping at the beginning of the month. I'm now having to go for tests, bloods, ultrasound, smear and exam. I done a pregnancy test yesterday and negative, me and my bf are trying not to worry but I currently don't know what to think. Has anyone had anything like this?
