I've just had my coil out too. First 2ww here for me. I have 3 DCS so this would be ttc #4!
I'm excited and part petrified as my youngest DC is 10 and I thought my baby days were well and truly over Grin

TTC our number three here Smile waves
Me and DH have finally made the decision to try for another from beginning of this year. Nervous, apprehensive but excited at the thought of another.

Twinkle my eldest is 10 Smile youngest is 2.5 . We didn't think we would have any more as I'm a student nurse and we live in a 2 bed council flat . We thought we would wait until I finished uni and we had moved then see how we felt .

But it's the right time now for the dcs . There's such a big age gap between our two now I didn't want that again . Dd wants to do her own thing and ds is constantly wanting her attention . He needs a wee pal nearer his age !! GrinGrin

What ages are your dcs frank ? I'm so excited !!! Grin

8 and 4! I see my youngest DD absolutely fawning over the babies at the Saturday activity classes and we have a new baby cousin in our family which my two go potty over on the occasion we see him. After so much reservations it now feels very right to have another. Now it's a waiting game every month...exciting stuff

Mayaknew: If we waited for the perfect time for kids, we would never get around to it at all! Grin Baby's have an amazing way of fitting into life. We don't have a spare room for a 4th, so it will be in our room for the foreseeable future, probably until ds1 (14) leaves home!

I had my 3 very close together ( 3 under 5) so having an 11 year age gap between the two youngest does make me wonder how it will work out. They would all love a sibling though, even the grumpy 14 year old!

Hi there we have decided to ttc #4. Already blessed with dd 8, ds 6 and dd2 8 months. Cd1 today and now officially into month 2 of trying.
Baby 3 has given us so much. More love and laughs in this busy family and the older ones just worship her, would love more of the same and to give her a little playmate. Always caught quickly with the others month 1 or 2 but still breastfeeding a lot so we'll see.

twinkle three under 5 wowzers! What has made you want to revisit baby land? ( apart from all those wonderful newborn snuggles of course)
It was getting to the point for us last year where it would have been easy to just stick as a family of 4. Life was easy however, we always knew we wanted a big brood and am so pleased we went for it.

Good luck ladies

It's so nice to hear such positive stories of larger families . I'm a bit apprehensive about telling people when the time may come . Maybe it's just because I'm a student and people may find it a bit irresponsible . But if I think I can cope and I'm happy to take a year out I suppose that's all that matters SmileSmile

We are ttc no. 3 too. Dd 5 and ds 3 already. We have been ttc since the beginning of the year but my cycles have been very strange and I am worried I am not ovulating. Used a clear blue digital monitor, no peak. Hoping that this month will be a bit more normal. Conceiving dd was a struggle so I am trying hard not to worry this time. Good luck to you all xx

Can I ask what is CD1 and 2WW and similar?

Report
TheGrandHighWitch · 26/04/2015 14:24

I am TTC#3 as well. I have been trying since this time last year but had a few months 'off' due to a chemical pregnancy at christmas. CD1 (cycle day 1) today. 2WW means the two week wait between ovulation and AF (Aunt Flo/Period) or BFP (Big Fat Positive).

sparklesandfizz The big age gap is due to a second marriage. We had originally decided my baby days were over but as the years have passed the more we realised it was something we really wanted together, so here I am madly symptom spotting at only 5days po Hmm.

I forgot all the lingo from ttc ds as well cd1 is cycle day one ... Is that day one of period ?

Af - period
Dpo - days past ovulation

What other acronyms are there we need to know ? I think my period is here to stay for another week so I might join the May bus when it arrives or we could have a little ttc #3+ here GrinGrin

There's POAS: pee on a stick!
IC: Internet cheapy (preg/ovulation tests)

And yes maya CD1 is the first day of your period. It's funny how the lingo all comes back.

Let's have a little ttc3+ shall we? It would be nice to have some suppport.

Hello!

TTC DC3 here. I have 2DDs, 6 & 4 from previous, and DH has DS 12 from previous.

6DPO here. First cycle TTC again. (Got pregnant Nov, MC in Dec, had a little break till now.) Purchased myself a BBT thermometer (not used one before) as I'm curious about the whole BBT thing.

Hi itboilsmypiss GREAT name! Sorry about your mc. I had one too years back and I must admit the worry will always be there now for me. Ooh a BBT! I have been eyeing them up, if I don't get upduffed this cycle I might have to slip one into my Amazon basket! I have no idea how it all exactly works but I do have a weird love of graphs Hmm

Grin Its my most used MN phrase so it seemed quite apt when a name changed was required after Christmas.

BBT was less than a fiver from Amazon and it was delivered next day via Prime, just shoved through my letterbox whilst I was out, brill. I've hidden it from DH Blush Don't want him knowing how technical I'm being, don't want him feeling under pressure to 'perform' (especially as he takes Sertraline and it, um, delays ejaculation so it can take a very very very long time sometimes. I also love graphs. Grin

Forgot to mention, I am 28.

maya We are a tad over crowded, 2 bed council house, DSS12 stays on the sofa when he's here no I'm not a wicked step Mum as he loves sneakily staying on the xbox until midnight yes DSS we know you turn it on after we go to bed Grin BUT my DDs gap of 2.5 years was amazing, although my youngest DD will be a minimum of 5 even if I do 'catch' this month, she also starts school full time this September, which means I'll have 6 hours a day to devote just to me and potential baby. I'm closest to the sister that is 5 years younger than me (I have 4 younger sisters) so I'm not too worried about the gap.

Ttc#3 here too!!

Been trying since end of last year. I was starting to get a bit stressed with it initially. I've chilled out a bit too much now- must actually remember to dtd or I'll never get pregnant!!

Seems like I'm ovulating but have a short luteal phase so don't know what's going on really. I'm 38 now so really want to get a move on with it. I have 2ds 2&4.

Good luck all!!

Thanks for the acronyms all. I best learn the lingo seeing as I'm here to stay on these discussion boards. I've a feeling I'm going to be bumping into most of you a lot over the rest of this year Grin

I'm also 28 but I'll be 29 next month .

Good to know I'm not the only hormone riddled crazy person having babies they may need to hang in a basket out the window Roosevelt style GrinGrinGrin

I've been using One Step tests from Ebay, they're about £4 for 30. Waiting to see if when AF arrives this weekend and buy more as I only have about 5 left.

Hi can I join you all?
We are in the middle of the should we shouldn't we discussions atm. Last week we were talking about dh having a vasectomy but the thought of no more has made me realise how much I want a dc3. Currently living in a 2 bed house though which is the biggest hurdle not sure where we would put a baby!
