Just found out one of my close friends is pregnant. They weren't trying, it just happened. Really pleased for them but Sad after so many months of disappointment. It's going to be so difficult at their wedding in a few weeks.

I'm sorry you are feeling this way.

It's best to look on the bright side, be positive and pleased for her and tell yourself your time will come.

Otherwise any negative thoughts mean wasting your own emotional energy on something you just can't change.

It's best to be happy for her.

OP, I completely understand why you feel as you do. You are happy for her but you are entitled to your own feelings too. Allow yourself to be upset or angry or whatever you are feeling, even if you wish those feelings weren't there. Its so hard to see someone else getting something you want. Your sadness is completely normal.

I hope that things work out for you

The thing to remember is that it's perfectly ok to feel as you do & only natural to be a little jealous. But, it will pass, and you will have to let it go, otherwise you might inadvertently distance yourself from a good friend & lose out.

My best friend is 20wks & I've really had to push myself & plaster on a smile, but now I don't feel anything but excitement for her. It's great too because when it's my turn she can pass on recent advice or any unused things she used to help her through.

I can totally empathise. I had the same thing with my SIL. It's hard but it gets easier. You must keep telling yourself it will be your turn soon.

How long have you been ttc?

Thanks

Plus it is totally ok to allow yourself to be upset. It's totally natural and WILL get easier. X
