Talk to me about ovulation pain...

I normally get ovulation pain around cd17, cycles normally 29 days in total. However, I don't get pain every month- does this mean I'm not ovulating or is it possible that I am but just not getting the pains?

Also, does anyone know if ovulation pain means you're ovulating right now or if it means you're due to ovulate in a couple of days?

TIA

Very weird, I also only get ovulation pain on the left side! Gives me hope to think that maybe I have ovulated after all.

Out of interest, how did you know it was the same day - did you use opks? I've been avoiding them so far but after nearly a year I'm almost willing to give them a try!

Well that's thrown it - my chin says left side!

I really need to stop obsessing over TTC, or get pregnant Grin

Just to update - I got my BFP yesterday! So whatever the confusion about twinges and chin spots, something went right Grin

Hey OP!

Was just about to reply to share that first 3 cycles I had decreasing intensity of ov pain from right side & this side just a teeny stab in left side while BD but know I've OV'd because of BBT: hoping I have same outcome as you!

Congratulations! Flowers

Congrats!

When does ovulation pain usually come - after you've ovulated? Before/during?
