Hi, not sure if this is the correct place to post this but i have been on all different pill's for 4 years, i have changed a few times due to not reacting well with them but throughout this i have always had consistent periods at the same time every month except the last two months they were late and only 2 days long ( previously always 5 days). last month i changed to the micronor mini pill as my doctor said it was the extra oestrogen that my body didn't like.. during this time i had a normal bleed then started on the new pill i was due to have my period last Sunday and still nothing. no cramps no symptoms nothing. this is very very unusual for me. i no that one of the side effects of this pill is your period stopping but on all the forums ive looked at everyone has wrote this happens after a few months not straight away. sorry for the paragraph just looking for some advice as it would be a few weeks before i could get a doctors appointment. (also around 6 weeks ago i thought i was pregnant as i had alot of symptoms and only had a 2 day bleed which is unsual. my and boyfriend wasnt using any extra protection. i did 2 tests with a week apart and they was both negative. since then we have used the pulling out method (still not the best i no).

thank you in advance :)

My periods gradually shortened and then stopped altogether when I was on the mini-pill (mine was Loestrin). I had almost no periods to speak of for around ten years. It didn't happen straight away though. If you've been taking all different pills it could just be your body getting used to the new one that's messing up your system. If you've been taking the pill properly and haven't used any medications that might counter it then you shouldn't be pregnant, whether or not you're using other protection. BUT it's not impossible. If your tests are coming back negative I'm not sure there's much more you can do other than wait it out til the doc's appointment. Sorry I can't be more helpful! x

Hi, I'm one of those people who despite following the mini pill rules etc, fell pregnant. Take a test it's the best way to know

Sorry posted before finished. If your tests are negative then it's that the pill has stopped your period. Which us what the mini pill can do. X

I did the tests nearly 2 months ago.. There was a week window when I transitioned to my new pill that I wasn't fully covered in. Sorry if I confused anyone. This is what I'm more worried about! I'm going to do a test this week but I don't know If it's too early? I'm now 10 days late for my period I've started to get symptoms too but I'm not sure if I'm over thinking them or they could be from my pill :S just looking for some advice really as I'm only 19 and don't really have anyone to talk about this to x
