Hey all,

I'm starting on the TTC journey and finding it all a bit crazy. I must admit that before now, I've taken absolutely no notice of any of my signs and what my body is up to. Now we're wanting a baby, I'm learning very quickly about how things work (and all the jargon on here - lots of you ladies are very very clued up it seems!). Last month was our first month of trying - I just wondered if there was anyone else out there in the same boat? Be nice to have a little friend or two!?

I've just started to use the CBFM as a little helper....

Anyway, be nice to hear from you!

:)

Hello! I'm actually on my 3rd cycle but am finding fertility friend very helping for recording my temperature and any pee sticks I use.

But like you I've never recorded my signs and symptoms in previous cycles so I don't actually know whats normal!

Hi there! I'm on my second cycle too, totally know what you mean - in the past month my TTC knowledge has significantly increased!! I was symptom spotting like mad last month which was making me a bit crazy so I've avoided any such behaviour this month! I've been using the clear blue dual hormone ovulation sticks which I've found really helpful.
Good to hear from another newbie Smile

Hello!

Have a look at the March bus thread. Lots of newbies on there along with those who have been trying for quite some time.

It would be lovely if you wanted to join us. :) Good luck!

Hello!

Also new here and learning a lot especially all the acronyms. Only just qualified for mat pay but got a holiday booked for month's time so waiting until Easter to start ttc. After being on some form of contraception almost continuously for 10 years, stopped taking cerelle (mini-pill) a week ago and keeping my fingers crossed that it's not too long until AF puts in an appearance. (Never heard of it referred to as Aunt Flo until I came on here a few weeks ago!)

See you around!

Hiya. I'm also a newbie, still trying to get used to the mumsnet layout etc. I'm on my first cycle, TTC our second. I was constantly keeping track of temps and CM for ttc our first but I haven't started this time round yet.

Sorry, I wrote this message then promptly had no internet access to actually reply. Nice to know that I'm not the only one!

@juneybean crazy times eh? I agree, I keep thinking that certain signs are normal, then I get to the next cycle and it's different!

@Woolley84 I had totally convinced myself I was pg last cycle (I wasn't), I was exactly the same, it's amazing how you can convince yourself with every twinge!

@MrsGingerbread thank you, I feel a little scared of the buses at the moment, it all moves so quickly and I'm just finding my feet! ha ha

@MrsPCR Yes, I told my DH (I think that's darling husband!) about AF, I think he thinks I've gone nuts, I'll probably keep it to myself for now!

@HayleyMay good luck.......I think I'm not quite clever enough for keeping temps etc!

Good luck everyone.....fingers crossed we get those BFPs! xxx

Hi, I'm also new on here, and we have just started ttc #1 too. Personally I'm finding clearblue ovulation tests (dual hormone) really helpful. It pinpoints the ovulation exactly, so you get the best chances.

Good luck and lots of baby dust to everyone! X

I am new here too - also struggling a bit with the acronyms and the concept of the "buses." It's my first month of TTC and I can't believe how much I didn't know - I'd never heard of a chemical pregnancy til yesterday or implantation bleeding til today! I'm hoping for a nice swift conception as I'm not sure I could be as strong as some of the ladies on here and keep going month after month, but we'll see! Eep!

The bus is just a thread of nutters all trying to get pregnant, we're lovely honest!

Hi, I'm currently on cycle three and it's amazing how much there is to learn! I think you just take it for granted that you'll get knocked up as soon as you LOOK at a man (I blame school sex education lessons Grin)

I now feel like I have an in-depth knowledge of my own cervix...which is not a sentence I ever thought I'd need to write haha

I'm using ovulation tests but the cheap ones off amazon - keep us updated on what the CBFM is like. I'm considering getting one if no luck this month (I do love a gadget)

Hey KnitFastDieWarm (love the name, I too am a knitter!)

Well, so far, it seems to be going very well, in that it tells me when to pee and tells me when ov is happening. I'm just finding it difficult to work out when to DTD! I've been doing EOD and this month I'm going for every day over ov for 3 days - if that makes sense!?

Bought it from ebay for £20....one thing though, if you buy one from there, make sure you re-set it! I had a nightmare to begin with as it was predicting previous lady's stuff! Whoops!

Thumbs up so far, I guess I can only really call it a success with a BFP! :) Currently at CD10, so fingers crossed......DH is having the time of his life at the min. Bless!

Hi all! Knit totally agree, I don't remember mention in lessons of the very small window you can actually get pregnant in each month!
Yes let us know how you get on with cbfm sarah, i wasn't sure of the difference between that and the dual hormone sticks I use.

Tis ok Woolly no problemo :) I think the only difference I can fathom is that the machine just tells me and you are deciding how dark the line is on the sticks? It seems to be working pretty well but I guess only time will tell really! Come on BFP!!

Hiya! The sticks are the ones with flashing and static smileys ( is that what cbfm has too??), working well but I went from nothing to flashing to peak in 3 consecutive days last month! Wondering whether to test twice a day when I hit the flashing smiley so I can pinpoint the peak better.
