My friend has been ttc for one year and only has one ovary. She is desperate for some advice and to start the IVF ball rolling. Anyone got any good people they can recommend (money isnt too much of a problem)?

We saw Ruth Curson at ACU, Kings College Hospital Denmark Hill and found her empathetic, professional and wise

Sam Abdullah and his team at the Lister or (and especially if she is older) the team at the ARGC in Wimpole street (sorry consultant's name is on the tip of my tongue, but I'm a Lister graduate myself). UCH reputation has improved, Hammersmith is also OK but you'll only get to see Lord Winston is you're an unusual case.

We found ACU at UCH very good. Excellent care and good stats. We looked at a few websites and then visited a couple to find out more (and see what the place/staff were like). They often have monthly open evenings.

Good luck to your friend.

i have two friends who have had success with mr taranissi (sp.?) at the ARGC on harley street. they have both said the patient care leaves a bit to be desired but they both got pg first time. one friend is just back there now, trying for her 2nd baby

The one I can't stand is the old bloke in harley street

The one who is news for older women with grey hair and glasses on a string

forgotten his name - smarmy bloke

I went to Samaratan hosp but don't think it exists anymore - this was 12 years ago
