AF arrived this morning, CD34. Probably won't be a +ive november for me either as DH is going away for 2 months sometime later this month, so he probably won't be here for my fertile window, but ya never know (in the army the dates for things change all the time, so gotta keep hoping). Will keep using my Persona this month just in case we can fit one or two BDs in at the right time.

Hey girls. Am with you both. I am on CD2 though, AF came with a vengance yesterday afternoon. Sat crying my eyes out in the office loo!

But now I am a day later, I feel much more positive for the next month and I hope that you will feel more like this tomorrow once you get your head around coming on today.

So sorry for all of you - can empathise totally. Can feel mine coming - AF should be here for the weekend.

Gutted, as last weekend I was so optimistic. Really thought that this might be the month now that DH and I have started going for tests. Apparently that happens to loads of people...

Hello, I've come to join you. Feeling a bit wounded and a bit low. Had some tears this morning when I saw my temp drop and am having a self-pitying day. Feel very guility about it though because it is just due to impatience, we have only been trying for 92 days (first pot of pre-natal vits is empty!) and there are so many of you have had to go through all this and worse for so much longer.

I am trying to focus on what I am going to do differently this month. I will do the EPO, Guiffissin, grapefruit juice, pre-natal vits, pre-seed and B6 (though that didn't help last cycle) as before but I am also going to try really hard to have a more healthy lifestyle, relax more, eat better, drink less, exercise more and spend more quality time with DH and my 3 lovely pussy cats. I am also going to try the headstand, legs in the air thing after BD in that vital week!!

What are you all doing differently? giving up? taking up? how are you all feeling? do I have any cycle buddies and is anyone due to OV on 23/10 with me?

Looking forward to supporting you and receiving it back on this thread this cycle

Hello! I've been reading your posts for a while now... so thought I'd join you for a bit of moral support as it seems that everyone around me has either just had a baby or is pregnant (including my best friend and sister) We've been TTC for 13 months with no joy. I was diagnosed with underactive thyroid last July so I'm on Tyroxine tablets daily. I'm 31, DH 34. Have been for first consultation at fertility clinic so have got all the blood tests to go through.

Have been temping for 4 months (although consultant said they don't recommend temping anymore as it adds too much stress to what is already a stressful situation) and I have been using a Clearblue FM for 3 months...DH has been for tests, 2nd was an improvement on the first and consultant said he didn't need another one, so now DH thinks he is fine and can carry on smoking and drinking, which wasn't part of the plan!

Its CD1 for me today.. and due to OV around 22/10 (but cycles vary from 24 to 30 days)

BTW, what is Guiffissin??

Sorry its such a long post. Here's to a positive outlook this month and a BFP at the end of it!

I'm CD2 now. Af arrived yesterday, full on, no messing. Onwards and upwards.

MrsMc - sorry to hear about AF - I know that terrible sinking feeling when the thermometer shows a drop. I always end up taking it another few times in the hope that it was just a blip, it never is. Have a self-pitying day and wallow & cry, tomorrow you'll start to feel more positive.

I'm going to try to chill out as much as possible - if you saw my 'how to lower fsh levels' thread I'll be doing the stuff in there. Trying to eat good wholesome meals, taking lots of vitamins, gentle exercise. Also, this is going to be a really low booze month - and if I can I'll try and have a detox day here and there.
Oh, and dp and I have been discussing getting a cleaner too - not that that is part of my ttc plan, but it might help for a less frantic lifestyle.

I figure though that as long as we make sure there is sperm there at the right time, it'll be ready for when one of these months a decent enough egg pops out.

Babymad - I used to be on Dianette for my spots, but although they were a bit haywire over summer they are improved now.

rubles - can't get through to the clinic, but have left a message on Mr Al-Sh's secretarys phone (020 76018041) saying I want to re-arrange. Will try both no.s again monday am.

MrsMJ - missed you on the other thread. A new dress sounds just like the right tonic. Always cheers me up. If you're still down in the next couyple of days some new shoes to match me thinks . Seriously, hope you have a fab w/e and I'll allow you off the wagon for a relaxing glass of wine or 2

Snowchick - Guafanesin is an agent found in cough medicine which is thought to increase your cervic mucus (which helps the little soldiers swim in the right direction). You need to buy one where this is the only active ingredient. Sainsburys do their own brand one.

JL2, they close the telephone lines after 4 so that might be why you couldn't get through.
I rang the number this morning and gave the details you gave me. They said they'd call me back when they had looked into it. They didn't call so I chased it up after 3pm and was transferred immediately to the central appointments people who told me I had to go on a cancellation list, (I am number 12). So it may not work, unless i try the clinic again and try to speak to the same nurse....

Afternoon ladies!

Still no AF, but my boobs have all but stopped hurting and I have my pre-menstrual spot on my chin, which is my body's way of reminding me to carry some tampons with me.

But, feeling quite positive for the future as blood test results came back as "normal" today - will get the details when I go for next month's day 21 progesterone. (If that's the stuff that makes my breast hurt, then I don't really need the blood test.) DH will be doing his bit for the tests next week.

I'm 32 and DH 39 - been ttc for just over a year, and I think I was briefly pg end of Feb. We're just doing the usual stuff - little or no alcohol, neither of us smoke anyway, reasonable diet, etc. I am starting temp charting this month - not done it before as I've been told it's not that reliable, but loads of MNers seem to do it, so I thought I'd join you.

Good luck to all.

AF came today so I thought I'd move over to this thread.

This will be my third attempt at TTC. My last two cycles were 34 days and 40days. Before TTC I had regular 28-30 day cycles. Don't know what is going on? (Stopped the pill in Feb so seems unlikely to be that).

I'm going to try to be relaxed about it this month. Although I don't know whether it'll be better to monitor temps - do you find that more stressful? Or is it helpful to at least have some idea when and if you are ovulating?

Hope you get the right result, Emz.

Jess1996 - that happened to me last year when we first started ttc. Had been reasonably regular 30-32 days, then 38, 28, 32, 23... Settled back into 28 to 32 now, though. I'm going to start taking temps this month, but also worried that this will make me more obsessive rather than feel "more in control".

Nearly burst into tears (while sober!) at a party last night when discussing ttc with a friend who had tremendous problems in getting her DS. Must still be premenstrual - no real AF, but Clearblue says no.

Anyhoo, she has recommended her acupuncturist - she doesn't know if it was coincidence, but she got lucky first month of trying after seeing him.

Will start with the grapefruit juice and plenty of BD (legs in air - sorry if tmi) and may try the needling if no luck this month.

How is everyone doing?

Hello ladies, CD4 for me and nothing to report! Hope you all had a nice weekend. Mine was very boozy so feel jaded today

Welcome Snowchick - you've come to the right place for moral support Sorry to hear that you have not get your BFP yetbut you will! I hope the blood tests help you to find out what is going on. Funny what your consultant said about temping, personally I think it is the reverse for me, with temping, I feel more in control and that makes me feel less stressed. I have been temping for 3 cycles so far, this is my 4th.

Hello Rubles thanks for your empathy LOL at the repeat temperature action, yes, I have done it too but we all know who we are cheating and I always do record the 1st one! I am ok now, just really hoping November is my month. I'm with you on the healthy lifestyle this month, especially after this weekend, we can support each other through. I have a cleaner, 2 hours a week and it means that I know the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom are always clean and can reclaim some of my Sat back, it's really worth it.

Hello JL2 how is our yummy mummy?! Back on the wagon for the whole week (well except Sat this week).

Hi Minshu - glad to hear all the tests came back normal and that you are feeling positive. Hope DH's tests go well too.

Hello Sideways - sorry to hear DH will be away at the crucial time

Hello Rubyroo - that does it, air bicycle it is (I need the exercise anyway!) how are you feeling?

Hello Jess1996 - sorry you had to join us but it's nice to have you.

Emz25 - thank you for your kind words and the babydust! Sorry to hear it wasn't to be this month, babydust right back at you!

How id everyone else? Babymad, you ok?
