Well done res. I was so busy warbling on that I didn't notice we were coming to the end of the last thread.

nobeer it might not feel it to you, but those 3 weeks have flown! What day are you in next week? Good luck with the results - I hope you're able to get cycling again very soon. Aldi is my current favourite shop - I have stocked up on their lovely champagne for when I can drink again. I'm hoping it stays unopened for a long while yet or I can just get trollied on it if this doesn't work

A week today brooker. It's a phone appointment with the immunologist (she's in another city), and DH will be home so hopefully nothing will be lost in translation. I guess after that we'll have to make another appointment with our doctor at the IVF clinic to sort out the next cycle. Hopefully we'll be able to use a couple of our frosties and I can avoid stabbing! I'm trying to be patient - honest Smile

Brooker - nothing helpful to say about your query. Cervical irritation is a possibility. Are you still seeing blood?

nobeer are you able to have a natural FET then? It was never an option for me so I had an injection in the morning, tablets 3 times a day and now 4 bum bullets! The injections stop today though! Horrah!

Brooker I had cervical irritation on my fresh cycle and had brown spotting around 3dpt right up until AF arrived. The brown spotting wasn't a sign it didn't work, my nurses weren't too concerned so I think it was just all the shuffling around up there that caused it

I am PUPO :-) one hatching blast put back and so far 6 for the freezer, and the embryologist thought there may be more to freeze depending on how they do in the next 12-24 hrs. We got to see it on screen and take a photo, amazing.

As an aside, the consultant was way better with the speculum than any GP nurse I've ever been to, wish he could do all my smears...

Moggle how nice to be PUPO, I'm jealous. Nothing you can do now but relax.

My H is working all weekend so I'm having a girls night at mine. Currently debating what to cook, thinking maybe goats cheese and beetroot salad for starter then beef bourgignon. My friend is bringing homemade cake for sweet and mam is bringing champagne so it should be a good night. Hope you are all having good weekends whatever you're doing.

turq I asked my acupuncturist if there was any good foods to eat during ivf she said that goats milk and cheese, and beetroot were good foods for encouraging blood flow to the uterus, so excellent choice for the starter!!

I hope so wish. Nice doctor said we could back in the Autumn before I asked to see an immunologist. My cycle is usually 27 days, although AF came 2 days early last time Angry so I'll see what happens next time. So dr might change her mind Sad

Congrats Moggle!

Welcome to the PUPO club moggle. The photo is a nice touch isn't it
turq that menu sounds lovely! It sounds like you'll have a great night.

Thanks for the replies ladies. TMI alert, still brown blood when wiping. The nurses at my clinic are too busy to speak to me at the mo Confused but I've arranged for a call later this afternoon.

Congrats moggle I'll be joining you on Wednesday providing my 5 embies thaw x

Moggle - congrats on being PUPO and on frosties-to-be.

And I agree about the speculum use. I've had ET twice and each was painless. Not even uncomfortable. They were recorded on the notes as 'easy' transfers so I guess not all go smoothly but I wince when I read on here of the difficult ones. You really don't need the stress at ET.

How long after ET should I expect a period if it's not worked? I've got period pain today and had some cramping yesterday. Hope it was for the right reason!

Also, do you think it would be ok to go out for a curry, or should I stay well away?

Report
eurochick · 01/03/2014 16:39

B4by I never bleed until I stop the cyclogest but some women bleed after their normal luteal phase.

Why wouldn't a curry be ok? Go out, enjoy it!

BrookerC · 01/03/2014 17:22

About the only thing I can rely on throughout this awful infertile saga is having regular as clockwork periods. That has meant we could at least do the natural FET. I know I'm luckier than some wish. Hoorah to the end of stabbing! baby I started bleeding on OTD for both my previous cycles, despite being on cyclogest. I can't see why a curry would be an issue - enjoy!
Spoke to a nurse today who wasn't concerned about the spotting. Just advised that I ring back if it's becomes heavy or red. I knew all this of course but just needed to hear it officially
beetle any news on transfer? 3dt today or blast on Monday isn't it? x

Morning everyone.
It's quiet on here..... Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Any hangovers today? Wink
I'm having a very self-indulgent couple of days & it's bliss. Currently still in bed lush having just had breakfast. Contemplating getting up & having a relaxing stroll with the dog and an afternoon on the sofa .
Failing miserably to stop googling mentally so I've just given into it for now. Not had any spotting overnight but having constant low level cramping and hip/back ache

We found out this morning that we have 10 blasts frozen in total. Very nice to think that hopefully I won't have to do another fresh cycle again... but mustn't count my chickens etcetera.
Trying to get back to normal life today... DH is on his laptop trying to catch up on work and I'm going to tesco to restock the kitchen cupboards and go to my favourite fabric shop for a browse, going to try and make a quilt or blanket for my best friend's baby which is due in July. Back to work tomorrow after a week away, looking forward to the distraction!

Morning! No hangover for me Brooker. I'm just making some beef stew in the pressure cooker and I put some red wine in. Did wonder if it's too early to have one for the cook too? It's the first time I've used a pressure cooker and I'm panicking that I haven't put enough liquid in. So I've turned it off and I'll have a look when it's stopped hissing!

Moggle that's some great results! Well done to your embies, but fingers crossed the one you've got on board will work out.

No hangover here either although I have been bad this week in terms of alcohol but as from tomorrow it's healthy living all the way. No booze, no caffeine, 5 a day. Yawn!

Brooker - glad the spotting stopped. As for the cramps etc - who knows? I remember feeling in quite a bit of 'pain' last time around at about 4/5/6 days post 3 day transfer but no idea if it was random, BFP related, a mind game or the drugs! It's really anxiety-inducing though and feeling for you.
